Chapter 26

Oliver's pov

It's been a week since my phone call with Leah, and every day, she finds it necessary to send me 50+ messages begging for me to help them and sending me pictures of my sperm donors medical bills.

I haven't told anyone, not even malikai, about it. I know he suspects something is wrong because he asks me if I'm fine every day. I really want to tell him, but at the same time, I don't want my traumatic past mixing and colliding with my fantasy like present.

It was a rainy Saturday afternoon, and Malikai and I are currently visiting Jason and Vincent.(Vincent is Malikai's best friend who helped find oliver, and Jason is his husband just incase you forgot😅).

Malikai and Vincent were in the living room watching football and screaming into the tv at the players while jason and I prepared lunch in the kitchen .

"Are you okay ... you zoning out a lot, " asked Jason as he cut the chicken into pieces. "Yeah I'm okay its just something dumb is happening right now and I dont know how to handle it " I said brushing him off as I continued rolling out the dough for the shwamas we were making.

"And what is that something if you dont mind me asking?" He asked curiously. "First, promise me you won't tell anyone, not even Vincent," I said ."Of course I promise," he said, pulling out his pinky. I intertwined our fingers before telling him what happened.

"I recently got a text from my ex sister on Instagram. She was asking for my number so after thinking about it I gave it to her . She then called me the next morning telling me my ex family is low on money and my sperm donor has cancer and my egg donor can't work cause she's taking care of him, " I said .

"So does this mean she wants you to help them out financially?" he asked ."Yep... also, she's been texting me begging for help and also going as far as sending me pictures of medical bills and overdue bank debts, " I said, annoyed .

"Okay, I know you do not want to hear this, but you better tell malikai...hes your husband, and this issue involves finances ... I've literally seen 20 year old marriages go down the drain due to hiding of financial activities... and im not saying you gonna help them, but if you decide to, please tell malikai, "he said worriedly.

To be honest, jason is the last person I thought I'd get marriage advice from. He's so soft-spoken, but then again, he is my best friend and probably doesn't want my marriage going through shit again. Plus, this was very good, marriage advice.

"I promise I'll tell him its just im still deciding whether I even want to help them or not,"I said in an exparated tone .

"Well, you have tons of money helping them wont kill you,"he said suggestively.
"I know, but it's not about the money it's about what they did to me and what they put me through," I said, annoyed.

"I understand... Maybe you should just follow your heart... you not a bad person oli so dont let them turn you into one . Because knowing you,  you will have sleepless nights about it until you help them, "he said ."Aggg you so fucken right ... I'll think about it " I said ending of that topic.

We then finished making lunch . We ate on the couch while watching some sob movie, which jason and I cried in between. "They lost," screamed Vincent after we finished eating as he stared at the football game updates on his phone.

"You've got to be fucken kidding me "said Malikai. "Ahahah no swearing, Daddy," I said jokingly. Malikai turned to me with lustful eyes while jason and vincent laughed.

"You guys are such cry babies," said jason as they were sad their team lost."says the guy who cried because the dog in the movie got lost," said Vincent." Hey, that's not fair. Lollipop (the dog in the movie) was adorable, and he didn't deserve that. ". We all laughed at that before holding more conversation.

Eventually, night time came, and malikai and I drove home. Throughout the car ride, I was stressing about how I'm going to bring up the whole Leah thing. When we arrived, he opened my car door for me before leading me into the house.

When we got to our room, we changed and did our night care routines before sliding into bed."Oliver, for the past few days, you haven't been okay and dont tell me you have cause I know you and the is something bothering you... what's wrong, love? "he asked gently.

I took a deep breath before straddling his lap and putting my hands on his bare chest. "Okay, promise me you won't get mad that I didn't tell you,"I said ."Okay, I promise,"he said while looking me in the eyes.

"That day on the couch when I was staring at my phone I had just received a message from my sister... the one who got me kicked out, " I started. I then proceeded to tell him everything about the financial help they needed and the cancer .

"Wow," he said after I told him. "Yeah," I said, taking in the information myself. "So what do you want to do ... do you want to help them? "he asked ."well actually  I  wanted to leave that decision  for you to make ... I mean, you make all the money, and it's yours, so I  was think-. " malikai cut me off halfway through my rambling with a kiss.

"Baby, how many times do I need to tell you that what's mine is yours. All these cars ,houses ,money, businesses, everything is your love. So I want you to make the decision. What happens starting from right now is your call, "he said after separating from the kiss.

"I know. I just don't want you thinking im taking advantage of the money by helping those fools out," I said shyly. "You not taking advantage,  you just being you... a good person is what you are being, " he said .

We then went to bed after further discussing how much money we could give them and which aspects of their lives we would  help them with. Im so happy I have a supportive husband. This man listens to my every plea and delivers, and I love him for that."
