Chapter 25

Malikai's pov

I starred worriedly at oliver, who was staring at his phone screen in complete horror and shock."Baby,"I said, trying to get his attention again, but he just kept staring at his phone . I walked to the couch and sat next to him before peacking on his screen.

I immediately get confused at his behavior as I see him on Instagram. I pull his phone gently out of his hands, which gets his attention. He starres at me with teary eyes, and I wonder what is going on."Baby... my love is everything okay, "I asked him worriedly.

"I-I... yeah, " he said, stuttering and clearly lying."Baby, remember, no secrets," I said, trying to get him to disclose his problem .

"Okay, fine, just read the message,"he said, sniffling. I read the message, and it was some girl asking for his number to talk . "That's my sister, the one I told you about,"he said, noticing my confusion.

I stared at the phone in shock. "Why does she want your number, I thought they cut you off?" I asked, confused . "They did ... they all cut me off... what should I do? "he asked, snuggling into my bare chest."baby its all up to you. If you feel like you want to talk to her, go ahead, but if you feel like you need to keep distance and not initiate contact, that's good to ... as long as you are happy, my love. I'll support whatever you choose to do, " I said before kissing his cheek.

"I love you,"he said to me ."I love you too,"I said . There was a knock on the door, meaning our food had arrived. I stood up to get the food before returning with pizza and some sticky BBQ wings . "Baby, let's eat,"I said as I laid the food on the coffee table with some plates and juice.

"I'm not hungry,"he said .I know he's hungry, but he's just too stressed to eat ."I'm not letting you go to bed until you finish at least one pizza slice and a wing," I said to him . "Okay, fine,"he said in a whinny voice .

We ate our food before taking a relaxing shower togather than going to bed. Today was just such a relaxing day well except for the whole dm thing, which scared my baby. I really hope he makes the right decision.

Oliver's pov

I starred at my husbands handsome sleeping face . He looked so peaceful when sleeping ... I, on the other hand, couldn't get a wink of sleep tonight. I kept wondering what my sister could want .

After hours of pondering, I picked up my phone at 1:30 am, and opened the message . I texted her my number without saying hi or asking how she is because that would make it look like im being kind to her, which is not what it is .

I was surprised at the immediate response I got .

I rolled my eyes at her message before switching off my phone and turning around in the bed."Are you okay?"asked malikai in his sleep, thick voice . He startled me a bit since I assumed he was sleeping. "Mmmmhmm," I hummed in response. He pulled me into his arms and cuddled me to sleep.

When morning  came, I woke up alone in  bed. Malikai's side was cold, insinuating that he had woken up a while ago.My phone vibrated, and I picked it up from the bedside table.

KAIII❤️❤️: Hey, are you awake, my angel.

ME: Yes, where are you ?

KAIII❤️❤️:I'm at work... you looked like you were in deep sleep, so I didn't wanna wake you up since you also slept late.

ME: ohhhh ... thank you

I then got out of bed and went to the bathroom. I freshened up and then left to go change and neaten up the room. As I walked downstairs, I saw the helpers cleaning. I greeted each and every one of them before making my way to the kitchen for breaking.

My phone started ringing as I was drinking my morning tea. I answered the unknown number ." Hi," I said as I put my cup down and played with the tea bag string."hi its Leah, your sister,"said the caller .

I cringed at he calling herself my sister."I dont remember having a sister, but continue, "I said with an attitude. "Come on, oli, it was years ago. Just move on already, " she said,  not sounding at al. Sorry for what she did ." Is there a reason you calle? "I asked,  completely ignoring her statement.

"Oli,  please give us some money, "she said .I laughed very hard and loudly ."And why the fuck would I do that "I asked catching my breath.

"Oli, we need help ... things aren't very good here at home financially...I lost my job, and dad stopped working cause he's sick with cancer  and mom can't work cause she has to take care of him... the house and car are behind on payment, and the bank is going to take them, "she said.

"Ohhh well thats really bad, hey ... well I  hope your cancer filled dad gets well soon I mean I would help yoll but you wouldn't want money from a fag and an abomination now would you" I said with not an ounce of sympathy.

"Oliver, please," she said, begging. "No okay I don't want to give you my money also tell your mom who probably put you up to this to just imagine she aborted me and I dont exist just like she did all those years ago" I said before hanging up.

My phone rings again, but I ignore it cause I know it's leah .I then received some messages from her, which were just her begging. I put my phone on DND before eating breakfast.

"Hey, oli,"said our cleaner, Ms. Rosa. She was a beautiful lady in her early 50s."hey ms rosa I didn't see you today," I  said, giving her a tight hug.

"Olii, I'm sorry for eavesdropping, but it sounds to me like you have a little family issue,"she said while looking at me pitifully. "They are not my family,"I said, denying any relation to those people. "Look, olii, I understand that you are angry, but if that man dies of cancer and your mom and sister end up dead in the streets, you will never forgive  yourself,"she said before walking away.

I sat in the garden for the rest of the morning thinking about her words. Im not a bad person or anything like that. I just feel like they are finally getting what they deserve. I want to help them, but at the same time, I want to see them suffer so badly .
