The day has finally come. I was so fucken excited to enter this new era of my life. Today, I was finally opening my new restaurant, and to say I was happy would be an understatement.
I walked around the restaurant, making sure everything is perfect for the customers that were lined up outside the doors waiting for them to open.
"You look happy," said Malikai as he hugged me from behind and kissed my neck. "Well why wouldn't I be this is such a big thing," I said, smiling brightly.
"I'm so proud of you love and no words are enough to express exactly how proud and happy I feel right now" he said while spinning me in his arms so he could stare into my eyes.
"Thank you, but I wouldn't have done it without you. You literally held my hand through every step of the way and comforted me every time I felt like giving up. I love you so much, malikai, " I said as tears of joy welled up in my eyes.
"I love you to baby" he said back before gently kissing me." Cut it out, love birds," said Jason as he and Vincent walked in from the back.
"You just jealous that you are not getting any kisses," I said playfully, making everyone laugh. "The staff is ready to open... all food prep is done , all the cleaning is done, everyone is dressed in uniform and yeah everything is basically in order" said jason who I had asked to check for me.
"Okay, great. Baby, please round up the staff for me, " I said, turning to malikai again. "Sure baby," he said immediately, leaving to go do what I asked him to do. This man is so supportive of me, and I love him for it.
After all the staff stood in front of me, I began speaking. "Good morning to everyone again, and thank you again for arriving so early to prepare for our opening it really means a lot to me. I really do hope that we will work well together and respect one another as well as our customers and code of conduct. I want working here to be fun and something you look forward to doing everyday and the only way that that can happen is if we work together and avoid unnecessary conflicts. Thank you guys again, and I am excited to announce that our restaurant opens now, " I said, ending up my little speech with a wide smile.
Everyone clapped excitedly, and after a few minutes, the doors to my new establishment opened.
Malikai, Vincent, and Jason left because they had their own errands to get back to. I spent the rest of the day in the kitchen ensuring that the food was cooked to perfection.
The restaurant was packed today, which made me hope it would remain this way forever.
At 10 in the evening, the doors to the restaurant finally closed as we waved goodbye to our last customer of the day. I was beyond exhausted, and so were my employees.
We cleaned up and ensured that everything was ready for tomorrow before we all left. Victor picked me up around half past 10 and drove me home.
As I sat in the passenger seat, I went through all the reviews my restaurant got today. There were about 200 reviews, which were all positive. We had a five-star rating .
People said they liked our food and service, which made me so happy. I then felt my eyes begin to droop as I kept reading the review, and unshokingly, I ended up falling asleep.

Malikai's pov
No words in the world can express how happy and proud I am of my baby. He single handedly opened a restaurant .
I glanced at his sleeping form with a wide smile on my face. I parked on the side of the road for a few seconds before reaching to the back seat and taking out a fluffy blanket.
I then began driving again. When we got home, I parked the car before carrying a deeply asleep oliver into the house . I carried him to our room and placed him on our bed, and he never even stirred. I guess he was extremely tired.
I gently took off all his clothes and underwear, leaving him naked. I then wiped his body down gently with warm water before dressing him in his favorite pjs.
I then took a shower and got dressed. After settling into bed the moment my head hit the pillow, I was gone.
Today had been a day filled with positive emotions. I was so happy and proud, and oliver was so excited and proud of himself too . He was esthetic, and seeing him so happy brought me so much joy.
The way his beautiful eyes sparkled with joy and the way his beautiful lips curled into a smile while he read those reviews was extremely heartwarming.
I really wish this was the beginning of our happy ever after. Im so tired of bad things happening to us. This is what I want for us to be happy ... together... forever.
