Chapter 28

Oliver's pov

My ex family texted me from Leah's phone a few days ago, agreeing to the help I was offering them. Malikai sent out a moving team to help them move and an ambulance to take my ex dad to the best possible hospital.

Leah and her mom were officially moving in today, and to say I was nervous was an understatement . As much as I tried to hide it and act strong,  the trauma of all the things my ex family  said and did to me was still there, and it only grew stronger after they reached out to me.

The only person keeping me together in this time was Malikai. He was so supportive towards me and always knew just what to do or say to make me feel better about this whole situation.

"Babe, are you listening?" Asked Malikai gently. I snapped out of my thoughts and faced him."Sorry, what did you say?" I asked apologetically. "I said... everything is ready, and leah and her mom are on their way. I sent one of my men to pick them up," he said before sitting next to me ."Ohhh, that's good," I said, cuddling closer to him.

"You know we could put them in a hotel or one of my other properties if you're not comfortable with it," he said while caressing my arm." It's okay. it's only for a few weeks. I dont want to find us spending more money on those pricks than we have to," I said, getting angry at the thought of their parasitic behavior.

"If you say so... I'll see you later, angel. I have a meeting with the men at my base about a huge shipment coming in, " said Malikai as he kissed my forehead. "Have you ever considered quitting the drug business and just making clean money?" I  asked without thinking.

This has been on my mind for a long time, and I really just want us to leave this dangerous life and focus on making clean money.

"Babe, can we speak about this some other time?" he asked hesitantly."Sure... I'm sorry for bringing it up like that it just slipped..."I said before standing up and kissing him goodbye while I hugged him tightly. "Bye baby, be safe, okay, and I love you," I said while still hugging him.

"I love you to love,"he said before kissing my lips softly.  We then let go of each other, and he left for work.

I didn't like malikai's illegal businesses at all, mostly because they are the reason I got kidnapped. I dont get why he still does it. I mean, he makes enough money from his legal businesses to sustain us and ensure we continue to live a good, comfortable, and wealthy lifestyle.

As I was still thinking, I heard the door open."Oliver! "Called out someone."Living room!" I screamed back upon realizing I knew the voice, and it belonged to Josh(josh is malikai's most trusted men who Oliver once  almost hit with a small weight in the first few chapters).

"Hey Oli, your sister and mom are here they still in the car, though I just thought I should get a green light from you before sending them in," said Josh cheerfully. I liked Josh, and I honestly understand why Malikai likes and trusts him so much. He is just so loyal , truthful,  trustworthy, and he also has an amazing personality. That's why his malikai's highestly paid employee.

"Thanks, Josh, but those people are not my mom and sister," I said, chuckling. "Family issues," he asked ."You have no idea," I said, smiling at him." Well we've all been there I mean my dad abused me for 5 years straight for being gay then had the nerve to tell me to come home after I left at 18 can you believe it "said josh with a sad smile.

"Wait, you are gay," I asked Josh, surprised because never, and I mean never, has it ever occurred to me that he may be gay."Yes, I have a fiancé his name is Jonathan,"said josh,In his, I can't believe you didn't know voice.

"Omg, I did not know that... when are you getting married? " I asked, getting excited. "We still planning everything, but I told mal that you ,him, Vincent, and jason are definitely invited," he said smiling.

"I'm going to hit kai for hiding this from me," I said with a fake, annoyed look. Josh laughed as he began walking out. I followed him to the car while we made small talk, and I asked him about his lover.

When we arrived by the car, josh opened the door for Leah and her mom. They stepped out of the car and looked around the property in awe."I'm going to leave,"said josh."Bye, josh, and thank you so much for today, and congrats on the engagement," I said, giving him a friendly hug."Thanks, weirdo,"he said, hugging me back ."ohh, also tell Johnathan to follow me on Instagram," I said jokingly."Will do," he said as he stepped into his range rover while laughing.

After he drove away, I turned to Leah and her mom. "Hi and welcome to my house ... my husband isn't home right now, so you will meet him when he comes back. I'll give you a tour of my property, and then you can do whatever you want. Also, your furniture and everything from your old house is in a storage unit except your clothes. They are in the guest room, " I said as I led them into my house.

I gave them a tour of the property, which took about an hour as we were walking  rather fast. I showed them the doors to the rooms that were off limits which included malikai and I's room , malikai's painting room, our freaky dicky room, and my husband office.

After the tour, I told them some house rules before leaving them to go to the guest room to pack. I sat in my room for the rest of the day, scrolling on Instagram while I waited my my lover to come home.
