Accept Thy Trade

Entering this cavern, Matthias had come across Triton's sister - Ursula. It was Matthias' last resort, as he needed help with being able to fall in love with Lukas and somehow be able to live with the humans. As he no longer wanted to be stuck as a merman for the rest of his days.

Ursula was known to be useful with many kinds of spells that could assist anyone who would require her assistance. Even though, many years ago - she had been banished from her brother's kingdom for having messed with dark magic. But now, she was ready to show the underwater world that she had changed. And would love to help those poor unfortunate souls who are stuck with no other option but to ask Ursula for assistance.

Ursula showed Matthias a vision of how she could be of help by setting an example. She displayed how one wanted to appear fitter and another wanted to fall in love with the one they wanted to marry. Ursula then clicked her fingers and appeared to give them what they wanted - as if she wanted to show Matthias that she was a trustworthy underwater figure that wasn't a monster.

But, there was a catch. Ursula then went on to state that the individuals that wanted the wish: Didn't complete the task within the time limit. She commanded her eels to electrocute the vision - as if to gesture that she either killed them or made them her eternal slaves. Matthias was shocked as Ursula reassured him that as long as he followed the rules - he should be okay in completing this goal of his: Which was to fall for Lukas and live on land for the rest of his days.

Matthias asked. "So, what will you do for me... as I just wanted to see what life is like on land, as well as fall in love with Lukas."

Ursula replied, dragging over a cauldron in the process. "Matthias - with this spell, you'll become one of them for three days. And within that time: You must kiss your one true love, to become human for the rest of your life. OTHERWISE - you'll become my servant, or die. It'll depend on how I feel. Do you want to do this, Matthias?"

"After hearing that... I'm not too sure of it, Ursula."

"I know it's hard to think upon. If you quit on me - you MUST return to your father and never think about that Lukas boy again. Now, do we have a deal?"

Matthias quietly nodded, as he didn't want to return to the life situation he had come from. Magic began to float around him as he began to vocalize a tune, to give up to Ursula. At the same time, he grabbed a rock, hung his tail over the cauldron and cut into the fin slightly, allowing it to bleed into the pot. All of this - while still vocalizing. And that was when Ursula proceeded to commence the chant that would mix the potion as it began to show a hand inside.

After the chant had been done - Ursula commanded Matthias to continue singing as the hand rose from the potion, lunged into Matthias' mouth and grabbed the light that was Matthias' voice before locking itself away in Ursula's locket.

Meaning, that Matthias was fully human with one exception - no voice and no memory of what he needed to do.
