Note: Sort of similar to 2013's story, but it's more about trying to defend yourself while camping. And I'll try and remember the names of the friends.
Within the forests, about an hour from civilisation, a small group of friends had come together to set up camp for the evening. Their main reason was to come together to see the stars once more before it was time to head back to the college.
Gathered around the campfire, Bethanie, Natalie-Nicola, Ashleigh (Jameson, not Bristol), Brian and Cade-Chad were quietly settling down for the night, when one of them could hear a rustle in the bushes. While everyone else retreated for the tent - Cade-Chad found a large stick (I know this wasn't in it - but it's better than making eagle noises at a coyote) and propped it up like a baseball bat.
Stealthly, he snuck up and as soon as Cade-Chad had gotten close enough - the small creature immediately stuck its head out. It was some squirrels, that had decided to visit as they were hungry. Putting down the stick, Cade-Chad proceeded to hand over some berries before walking backwards. Surprisingly, the squirrels thanked him before scampering away.
Looking out from the tent, Bethanie asked. "What was it?"
Cade-Chad answered. "Squirrels."
