Gabby and Zay were on their way to the airport the morning after their wedding, riding in the back of a black SUV. Gabby leaned against Zay, her fingers laced with his."So, where we goin'? You still ain't tell me," Gabby asked, her voice soft.
Zay smirked, kissing her hand. "It's a surprise. Just know it's somewhere you deserve."
Gabby shook her head, laughing. "You always tryna be mysterious."
"You love it," Zay replied with a grin.
Touchdown in the Maldives
When they landed hours later, Gabby was speechless. The turquoise waters, the white sand, and the private villas stretching out into the ocean felt like a dream.
"Zay," she whispered, turning to him. "This... this is too much."
"Nah," he said, pulling her close. "This ain't even enough for you. You worth all this and more, G."
They were escorted to their private villa, complete with an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Gabby couldn't stop smiling as she took it all in.
"Alright, I'ma need you to relax," Zay said, watching her pace around in awe. "This our time to just chill. No stress, no work—just me and you."
Gabby laughed, sitting on the edge of the bed. "I hear you. But this still feels unreal."
Romantic Dinner
That evening, Zay arranged a candlelit dinner on the beach. The sound of waves crashing, the soft glow of lanterns, and the warm breeze set the perfect mood.
Gabby sat across from him, her dress flowing in the wind. "This gotta be the most beautiful night of my life," she said, looking into his eyes.
Zay leaned forward, his voice low. "And I'ma make sure every night feel like this for you."
Gabby smiled, reaching for his hand. "You already do."
Late Night Conversations
After dinner, they returned to the villa and sat on the deck, their feet dangling in the pool.
Gabby rested her head on Zay's shoulder. "You ever think about how far we've come?"
Zay nodded, his voice soft. "All the time. You changed my whole life, G. I ain't never thought I'd be a husband, let alone have a woman like you."
Gabby smiled. "I never thought I'd have anybody. But you came into my life and made me feel like I was worth somethin'."
Zay kissed the top of her head. "You was always worth it, baby. You just needed somebody to remind you."
They sat in comfortable silence, the sound of the ocean lulling them into a peaceful calm.
