After spending a couple of perfect days on their honeymoon, Zay and Gabby were still basking in the glow of their wedding. The Maldives had been everything they could have dreamed of—breathtaking views, private beaches, and endless moments of connection. But there was one thing Gabby couldn't shake: a feeling of pure contentment, but also gratitude for how far they had come together.
One night, after a romantic dinner on the beach, they sat on the balcony of their villa, the warm breeze flowing around them as they gazed out at the moonlit ocean.
Zay pulled Gabby close, wrapping his arms around her. "You good, baby?"
Gabby smiled, looking up at him. "I'm more than good. I'm perfect. Just... sitting here with you, feeling like the luckiest woman alive."
Zay kissed her forehead softly. "That's how I feel too, G. Been feelin' that way ever since I laid eyes on you."
Gabby laughed lightly, her eyes softening as she stared at him. "I still can't believe we're here. Like, this is really my life now. I've always wanted to be loved like this, but never thought it was possible."
Zay's fingers brushed against her cheek, his touch gentle but firm. "You're everything I ever wanted, Gabby. I knew from the start, the moment I met you at that hotel, that you were the one. Ain't no way I was lettin' you go. You my wife now, and that's the best thing that ever happened to me."
Gabby leaned in, her lips meeting his in a slow, deep kiss. When they pulled away, she whispered, "I love you, Zay. I never knew love like this existed until you showed me."
Zay smiled, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "I love you too, baby. This is just the beginning. I'm so ready for everything we're gonna do together. You and me, forever."
Gabby rested her head against his chest, closing her eyes. The sound of the waves crashing on the shore mixed with the warmth of his embrace, and for the first time in a long while, she felt like everything was exactly where it should be.
"You know," she said after a while, "I'm glad I found you. I used to think that I could never depend on anyone, but with you... I can just be me. No frontin', no holdin' back. Just me and you."
Zay chuckled softly, kissing the top of her head. "That's all I need, baby. Just you. And I'm gonna make sure you always feel that way. We're in this together, forever."
Gabby smiled, her heart swelling with love. "You know what I'm most thankful for? The fact that you see me. All of me. I never had someone truly see me before."
Zay cupped her face in his hands, his gaze full of sincerity. "I see you, Gabby. All of you. And I love every part of you."
Gabby leaned into his hands, feeling the sincerity of his words. She had found the love she never thought she deserved, and in this moment, everything felt right.
The two of them sat there, silently enjoying each other's company, feeling the weight of the world lift off their shoulders. Together, they had built something beautiful—something they would protect and cherish for the rest of their lives.
