On the day of receiving the selected participants in the castle, Shan kept wiping his sweat while maintaining a soft smile. The king and queen has ascended the throne and were looking forward to meet the selected contestants

Sky asked permission for a week off as there was an emergency and Shan assured everyone that he would handle everything till Sky returns.

PraPai looked annoyed, Phayu had a fake smile on his face, and Un had a veil over his face which made Fang peek at him from time to time in curiosity. All four sat together to welcome the consorts.

“Why do you have a veil?” Fang finally asked out of curiosity

“I’m so pretty, what if there's any good looking guy that mom and dad decide to sacrifice me like Phayu and PraPai?” Un replies making Fang turn pale in worry before the younger man calms down and whispered

“Silly! You’re attracting more attention by this veil instead of repelling…”

“Oh..” Un quickly removed the veil and sat properly

“Idiots…” PraPai whispered, making Phayu to pinch him in annoyance, “Watch your mouth…”

“What did I do?” PraPai whimpers in pain as he rub the spot

“Behave! Kids!” The Queen looks glared at them when saw them fighting

“Sorry…”

“Consort number 18 Nalin, only daughter of Ayarat and younger sister of minister Shan…” A guard announced as Nalin entered and bowed to everyone nervously

“Well wishes to all” Nalin said politely as she looked around and continued, “I would like to sing something for our dear king and queen…”

Each consort had to perform a piece to show their talent and Nalin decided to sing, her voice was soothing and enchanting and everyone liked it.

Once the song was over, she bowed before joining other contestants. Everyone clapped for her before guard called the next consort

“Consort number 19, WaRain, youngest son of Ayarat and younger brother of Shan….”

Everyone started to whisper as Rain came in front. The king and queen were pleased as both Rain and Nalin took part in the selection.

“Um.. well wishes to everyone? I.. I’m Rain..” Rain shutters as he introduced himself nervously.

“Wow! Both children of Khun Ayarat are here…” someone whispered

“It will be interesting to see brother and sister compete for selection….” Another minister whispered

“Khun Ayarat family will be blessed if one of them gets married in the royal family…”

“What if both get married in the Royal family? They would become the most prominent family in the city…”

“Enough! Dear, Rain please continue…” The queen interrupted and spoke gently

“…” Rain stood there blankly and looked towards Shan for help instead but Shan was lost. He couldn’t help Rain in this situation

“You haven’t prepared anything to present your talent?” One of the minister asked in taunting voice

“My my, I thought all three kids of Khun Ayarat were talented… Oldest son is a scholar and daughter has a heavenly voice but the youngest…”

Rain sharply looked at the minister and spoke bluntly, “My siblings are so talented that I decided to be a salted fish! Someone should be there to enjoy all the blessings…” Rain spoke, startling the minister who previously commented
