"You're going to the border!" Tan shouted as soon as they met. Fang gave him a guilty look and nodded weakly. Tan was frowning which worried Fang.
Both were at Rain's shop, Tan dragged Fang to a private room while Rain was handling the store downstairs to keep himself distracted.
Rain was miserable since both Phayu and Sky left. He can't call or text them and the letter takes weeks to send and get a reply.
"They needed someone who can keep the troop motivated.." Fang answered in serious tone which made Tan sighs
"Why do you have to be a prince? If only you were a common man, I wouldn't have to worry..." Tan complained which made Fang smile,"I'm sorry"
"No need, I will go talk to my parents! What time are you leaving, I will join you..." Tan spoke and Fang was startled
"Wait, what did you mean?" Fang stares at Tan in confusion
"I will go with you" Tan repeated calmly
"Why? You do know that borders aren't safe.." Fang spoke in hurry
"Chill, your cousin was my idol before he messed with my Phee..I'm talented in fighting, it's just that I'm too lazy to work for the army.." Tan assured Fang but Fang wasn't at ease.
Tan sighs as he holds Fang's shoulder and says, "When are you supposed to go?"
"Day after tomorrow" Fang replies in worry
"Okay, I will see then. Don't worry, I will be your soldier who is going to protect you.." Tan winked at Fang while the older guy wasn't convinced.
A couple of days later, Fang was shocked when he saw Tan in army clothes. The young man smiles as he approached him and salute
"Prince Fang, Tan at your service..." Tan introduced himself with a smile.
Tan was so talented that the Army tried to recruit him but he refused as he wasn't motivated but then suddenly Tan applied to go to the South border so the Main Generals happily accepted it.
Soon a week passed and Rain couldn't stop worrying, Khun Ayarat sent Rain to the royal palace for safety. The young man was in Phayu's study room waiting for any news about Phayu or Sky.
He sighs as he lays his head on the table and stares at the distance when the Queen approaches him, "Rain... are you worried about Phayu?"
Rain looked up and nodded weakly which made the Queen sigh, "I can understand your feelings. Each time the King used to go to War, I used to feel restless..."
"Phee told me he would be back safely but how long do I have to wait.."
"Dear, I wish them to come soon... recently there's no news but I'm sure, PraPai and Phayu would handle the situation smoothly and be back soon"
"Phee promised to marry me the day they arrived... he told me that we were gonna celebrate our victory and marriage on the same day..." Rain said with a longing look on his face.
The Queen smiled weakly as she tried to comfort the younger and pulled him into a hug, "You will be the most beautiful groom.. I will choose the most beautiful dress and diamond crown for you... whole castle with be decorated in red and gold..."
Another week passed, Un sat straight as he listened to all reports from the border along with the King. Shan was standing behind Un and whenever Un started to feel uncomfortable or confused, Shan would explain him everything or pat his shoulder
