Chapter 17

(It's finally here y'all.)

Sitting in the waiting room, Cyn awaits her next battle.. the battle against Todoroki.

She takes a deep breath, but she can't think of a solid plan.

"I guess I'll just wing it.."

She mutters, and if she gets past Todoroki, she'll either fight Tokoyami, or Bakugo.

She shudders at the thought of fighting Bakugo.. she can do this..

Right?

Fighting Todoroki won't be bad..

She swallows her spit down and gets up, shaking slightly as she walks out into the arena.

She stops when she gets to her respective place.

Feeling Todoroki's gaze on her, she immediately remembers what he did to her brother..

....

As soon as Mic yells 'Begin', she opens her hand and the symbol appears in it. Immediately, she runs towards Todoroki, who sends big ice spikes towards her. She flicks her wrist, and the symbol turns into Null, and she throws it at said ice, causing some smoke.

Todoroki looks around, coughing slightly at the smoke. He sees a faint purple hue in the smoke, and sends his ice spikes towards it. When the smoke clears, he sees that it was just some debris?

'But how was it purple..?'

He thinks, but before he could make his next move, she was above him, with Null, about to drop onto him.

His eyes widen and flames shoot out from his left hand, but turns out.. it was an illusion?

Pain shoots out from his left side, as he hears a small chuckle.

Dropping to the ground, he looks up and sees her , above him. Her left eye is yellow, and both of her pupils are shaped like the symbol.

"What the.."

He mutters, before her tail bites his left arm, making it stay down. Wincing in pain, he manages to move one of his legs, and ends up kicking her off of him.

Her tail legs go of his arm as she stumbles back, growling under her breath.

"You're Midoryia's sister... Yet your quirk is nothing like his... I assume your adopted?"

He asks, no emotion as usual. She starts circling him, but stops when she's in front of him.

"Easier to assimilate than explain."

His eyes widen. This is not the Cynthia he was fighting... This is someone else.

"What is that supposed-"

Before he could finish, her large, organic, bag like wings grow out of her back and flap slightly.

As her feet lift off of the ground, he sends some fire towards her, but in a small, yellow flash, she isn't there anymore.

He looks over his shoulder to see her will null, but before he could react, she drives thd Null into his back, making him spit out some blood, and stumble forward, landing on his knees.

She puts her right foot on him, pushing him down to the ground. A smirk appears on her face as she kneels down next to him, and digs her nails into his back.

Hissing in pain, he feels a surge of energy, and moves his left hand, a large amount of fire shoots from it, and into her stomach, sending her far, far back.

Before she reaches out of bounds, she quickly opens her hand, the symbol appears above her hand, and another on the concrete below... And with a small move of her wrist...

A piece of concrete shot up, stopping her from going out of bounds.

Todoroki's eyes widen, and he slowly picks himself up.

She shakily gets up as well, but her eyes are no longer yellow, they just have her pupils as the symbol.

"Cyn.."

He mutters under his breath.

She looks at him, panting, opens her hand, and a small ball of Null appears.

"Bite me.."

She mutters under her breath, and in a flash of yel- no, purple now, she's behind him again, and she drives it into his back, causing him to stumble forward once again, but this time, he fell, landing on his stomach.

Midnight clears her throat.

"Wow- that was certainly eventful..."

She looks at Cyn with a surprised, yet proud look.

"Cynthia moves onto the next round..!"

She exclaims, and a lot of people in the stands clap and cheer.

Panting, Cyn gives Midnight a small thumbs up.

"R-Right.."

She mutters and looks at Todoroki, as the recovery bots pick him up and start taking him to Recovery Girl's office.

She can feel someone glare at her though, and she looks up, at the stands, and sees..

Endeavor giving her a sharp glare. Shivers run down her spine, and she swallows slightly. She then shakes it off and starts walking back to her class's stands.
