Chapter 19

"Eager Beaver."

Cyn smacks Deku on the side of his head, as soon as she sees him again.

"You seriously fought Stain, without me?! Now I'm starting to feel left out."

She teases, and Deku laughs softly, looking into her eyes.

"I'm still trying to get used to the new look."

Cynthia chuckles.

"You should've seen Mom's reaction, she was so worried."

Deku laughs.

"So, how was your internship?"

(a flash back, brought to you by Kirishima in a shark onesie)

"Try to work on your strength in your wings, so you can fly higher than just 30 feet off the ground."

Midnight crosses her arms while looking at Cynthia.

She nods and spreads her wings, jumping up and having them flap, so she's flying slightly.

"No, not what I meant."

Cynthia stops, landing on the ground, on her feet, and looking at Midnight.

"Really? Why else would you invite me on this rooftop-"

She suddenly realizes, but before she could say anything, Midnight pushed her off the edge.

"AHH!!"

She tries flapping her wings, but the wind is too strong.

She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, spreading her wings fully out.

She opens her eyes again, her left eye, yellow.

She feels.. stronger. Like she did before when her eyes where yellow.

With a single flap of her wings, she's flying higher than normal. Flapping her wings more, she flies up to the roof top again, where Midnight is.

Her left eye goes back to it's normal color, and she lands on the roof.

(end of flashback)

"Oh uh... Y'know... It was.. fine."

She chuckles nervously.
