It's been a couple months now. School starts in two weeks, and the summer was the best I've ever had. I can't believe how much fun I had. Being with Maya everyday. Having ice cream eating wars to see who could go longest without getting a brain freeze, swimming in the cold Atlantic ocean, spraying each other with water guns, playing capture the flag with Riley and Farkle, doing double dates with them, recording music. It's been perfect.
As I start walking down to Maya's, I notice she's out side with Shawn and her mom, Katie. Shawn is on one knee, a little box in his hand. As I walk up, I can hear his proposal. "Katie Melanie Hart. Will you do me the honor of calling you my wife. I promise to love you every day of forever. I will never leave you. Will you marry me?" Katie is in tears, Maya's holding Holly smiling. "Yes!" Katie exclaims.
I walk over to Maya. "They look so happy. I'm glad for them." Maya nods. "Me too." "We could be next." I say. Maya smacks my arm. "Not until I'm at least in college!" She says, making me laugh. I hold her. All four of us have our forevers. I have Maya, and nothing could take her away from me.
