I wake up to the sounds of a shower running and Lucas's singing. How cute he's singing in the shower. Getting up, I look around. It's about noon and I'm just barely getting up. I look at myself in his mirror. I have bed head and crumpled clothes. Lucas walks in, a towel around his waist. His hair shining with drops of water. I can see his six pack and arm muscles perfectly, and I try not to stare.

"Hey can I borrow some clothes. My dress is kinda rumpled." I say as he grabs himself some clothes. "No need. Here." He says tossing me my favorite pair of skinny jeans, my black tanktop, my red and black cutoff flannel shirt, and my red converse. "Thanks. Where'd you get this?" "I stopped by your house and grabbed them. I figured you would need some." He says.

I leave to go get changed in his bathroom. Finishing, I run a brush through my wavy hair. Good enough. Walking back into his room, he looks at me a pair of keys in his hand. "You ready?" He asks. "What? You can't drive, your only fifteen!" I say and he laughs. "There's something you don't know about me. I'm actually a year older than you. I got held back before I came here. I turn seventeen next year. " "What? I just barely turned fifteen, and when I start my sophomore year you're sixeen and that's how old you'll be. Until November 24 that is." He nods. "Yup. You ready to go?" I nod. "Sure."

I hop in his red and white truck, and listen to the radio with him. I sing along with him and the radio. He takes me to Coney Island. I get extremely excited because I've never been there before. We walk into the park and ride a ton of rides. We go on roller coasters, and play the games, and just as the sun is setting, we ride the Farris wheel.

He pulls out a box from his pocket. Sorry it's not much. But I hope you like it. It's a necklace with two hearts on it. One says Lucas and the other says Maya. Even though it's small, it's meaning is big. Hugging him around the neck, I whisper in his ear, "Thank you. This has been the best birthday I could have asked for."
