The test subject was put into the experimental room once more. Subspace released the toxic gas inside and watched the thrilling action begin. Medkit watched from behind.

The same process has been going on for a few weeks. Subspace has been researching the effects of the poison and its impact on the body. So far, he only knows that the poison does burn the victim and potentially melt the insides. The side effects? Well, Subspace is the only one to witness his side effects. The voices and all... None of his volunteers told him about their experiences yet. But anyway, Subspace continued to watch his volunteer suffocate in the toxic gas.

They were on the verge of death by now, but Subspace didn't seem to care at all. He'd been enticing to see someone suffer for this long. Longer than a minute at least. He wanted to see their body burn. He wanted to see what else the poison could do to these poor demons.

"That's enough." Medkit's words snapped Subspace back into reality. He pressed a button, and the vents opened, releasing all the gas out of the room. The volunteer collapsed and laid limp on the floor right after.

"Ugh, fine. I guess we're done for the day." Subspace grumbled. Medkit took a small glance at him before he walked over and helped the volunteer.

The poor volunteer couldn't move their body. They looked so weak and tired, and Subspace couldn't stop but smile at that. It made him want to break them more and more, until they couldn't take it anymore. Medkit treated them with his crystals, helped them get back up on their feet again as they walked to Medkit's office. Subspace didn't bother checking on them, and decided to walk back to his room instead.

Not so long after the volunteer left their laboratory, Subspace was told that his volunteer, his one and only volunteer, sighed off of the experiment. This was the sixth time, the sixth volunteer to back out like this.

"Ugh, you gotta be kidding me!!" He slammed his hands on the counter. "They were my last volunteers, and I swear I was so close to getting to my goal!!"

Medkit sighed from the other side of the counter. "They're scared of losing their life over some 'experiment' . It's not worth it."

Subspace shook his head, "It is worth it, but no one sees it!! They're cowards ."
