The office, once filled with mundane chatter and routine meetings, now buzzed with new energy. Rajat and Savi's relationship had become the favourite topic of speculation, especially for Meera and Raghav. It was subtle—the way they exchanged glances, how Rajat brought coffee just for Savi, or the little touches that seemed accidental. But anyone paying close attention could see that things between them had changed.
Savi had always been the calm and composed boss who kept her emotions firmly in check, but even she found it difficult to remain unaffected. Now, the playful tension between her and Rajat hung in the air, making even the most ordinary moments feel charged with emotion.
At the start of the week, Savi entered the office with her usual briskness. She wore a crisp wine coloured saree, her hair tied in a loose ponytail, trying to act as if everything were business as usual. But the glint in her eyes and the slight curve of her lips betrayed her attempt to appear unaffected.
Meera, ever observant, leaned closer to Raghav at his desk. "She's glowing," Meera whispered with a grin.
Raghav chuckled. "You think that's the 'I-finally-admitted-I-love-him' glow?"
"Definitely. And look who just walked in."
Rajat strolled into the office, carrying two cups of coffee—one of which he handed to Savi without a word. Their fingers brushed briefly, and Savi quickly looked away, trying not to smile. Rajat, noticing her attempt to hide her amusement, gave her a playful wink.
"Oh, this is going to be fun," Meera whispered mischievously, nudging Raghav.
Next morning, Rajat strolled into the office carrying two steaming cups of coffee. Without needing to ask, he placed one on Savi's desk, right next to her laptop.
Savi glanced up from her screen, raising an eyebrow. "What makes you think I wanted coffee?"
Rajat leaned casually against her desk, arms folded, a mischievous grin playing on his lips. "I know your habits, Kitty. You work late, skip breakfast, and rely on caffeine to keep you sane."
Savi tried to suppress a smile. "Stalker much?"
Rajat chuckled. "Call it... attentive observation."
As their fingers brushed when she reached for the cup, a warmth spread through Savi's chest—familiar yet exciting.
At a nearby desk, Meera nudged Raghav, both watching the exchange with barely contained amusement. "They think they're being subtle, don't they?" Meera whispered.
"Yeah," Raghav agreed, grinning. "This is like watching a rom-com play out in real life."
Throughout the day, Rajat made no grand gestures—just small moments of quiet connection. During meetings, his gaze would linger on her a second longer than necessary. In passing, his hand would briefly graze her back, sending a flutter through her chest.
Savi tried her best to stay professional, but every time Rajat leaned over to discuss a design or gave her one of his knowing smiles, her resolve weakened.
"You're impossible," she muttered one afternoon as he stood beside her desk, their heads bent over blueprints.
Rajat grinned. "And yet, here I am. Still your favourite architect."
Savi rolled her eyes. "Don't push your luck, Katkat Thakkar."
Rajat chuckled. "Oh, I think you like me a lot more than you're willing to admit, Ms. Kitty."
Just then, Meera walked by with a folder but stopped in her tracks, overhearing their exchange. She arched her brow and smirked. "You two are adorable, you know that?"
