Hawaii

June 9th, 12 PM

I watched out the window as the plane moved into position to take off. Ruby put his hand on my thigh and I looked over at him.

"We are going to have a good time," he smiled and squeezed my thigh.

I cracked a half smile. I wasn't convinced. I am glad Octavia and Brooks could come, but my mom and I left on rocky terms. I mentioned moving to Hawaii, and she got upset. She didn't want to leave this home, which worried me more. He knew where the house was. He knew how to manipulate her. How am I supposed to live happily somewhere else, knowing my mom and siblings could be in danger?

On top of that, how would Ruby react when I told him how I was feeling? As beautiful as Hawaii is, I didn't want to go if that meant leaving my mom and siblings.

"What are you thinking babe?"

"I don't know if I can do this," I guess I needed to tell him. My mom is still there. He knows they are still there. He is going to come back and manipulate them. I can't protect them."

"Your mother is strong and a grown woman," he took my hand in his, "you don't have to protect them, you have done so much to keep them safe already."

I thought for a moment, he was right, but I still had this impending feeling in my gut.

"We don't have to make a decision today or tomorrow or at all this whole trip, let's just feel the feelings and enjoy our time. We all need this." It was like he read my mind.

I smiled, "I would like that very much."

8 PM

We finally made it to our hotel.

"I cannot believe we made it to Hawaii!" Octavia shrieked with excitement, at least someone was having a good time.

"How about we check out the suite and then head to dinner?"

We ran up to the suite, it was beautiful. 

We set our luggage in the room and the next thing I knew Ruby picked me up and threw me onto the bed.

"I am so lucky to have you," I took his face in my hands so I could admire how perfect he was.

"I am lucky to have you, who would have thought we would have ended up here?"

"I definitely didn't, but I am glad we did."

We kissed and as it deepened, he slid his hand up my shirt and massaged my breast. My hand slipped down and undid his pants and helped them off.

Ruby helped me undress and kissed down my body until his lips met my lower. I gasped as the sensation rocked through my body. The sensation swarmed and my body tensed as the release shook through me.

I looked down to see Ruby smiling at me.

"That was fast."

"Get up here and fuck me."

He didn't need to be told twice. He quickly put on the condom and slipped it in me. Picking up speed as I quickly formed to his size.

We rolled so I was on top, it didn't take long of me being on top, riding and kissing his neck before he orgasmed.

"That was fast," I joked as I rolled off him.

"Shut up," he let out a breathless chuckle.

10 PM

We went to dinner and spent time catching up and joking around.

"What should we do tomorrow?" Brooks asked as he took another bite of his pasta.

"Well we have the houses to see tomorrow, by the beach, they are one story with 4 beds and 3 baths."

"Other than that."

"I thought we were going to look at houses this trip?"

"Parker, we are in Hawaii, for a week. We are going to have fun and do things other than look at some houses."

"Brooks is right, we need this vacation!" Octavia smiled at me and I couldn't help but smile back.

I need to let go and stop worrying about everyone else.

June 10th, 8 AM

"As we enter through these French doors, you will see the beautiful spacious kitchen to your left as it looks over into the open concept living space."

"This is beautiful."

We toured the whole house and I couldn't help but imagine Ruby and I growing a family here and having friends to experience our wonderful life with.

"What do you think my love?"

Ruby wrapped his arms around my waist as I put my arms around his neck and we stood in the living room. The realtor left us to explore the house some more and took Brooks and Octavia to check out the other one.

"This is the one I want to grow old in. With you. And raise our children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I want this all with you."

He smiled. His charming smile. I could never get enough.

"This is our house baby."

My heart skipped a beat. It was our house.

June 15th, 10 PM

We spent the whole week partying and celebrating, we were able to get the houses and would be moving in the next week.

It was crazy to think about. I was able to forget about all the horrible things that had happened and the things we had done. But now that we were home it all came rushing back.

We were graduating tomorrow.

My mom didn't say two words to me when we came home which stressed me out even more. I couldn't eat or sleep all I could do was think. Think about how I was hurting her by leaving and how I wouldn't be able to protect her.

"Baby, not everything is on your shoulders."

I liked how I didn't need to say anything for him to know exactly what I was thinking but I knew it would get on my nerves at some point.

We were in bed cuddled up and watching a movie but he could see my mind was elsewhere.

"I just don't know what to do."

"We are going to graduate tomorrow. And we are going to have the best day and celebrate and have a wonderful time. And then the next day? You are going to sit with your mom and talk all of this out. But until then? You don't have to worry about it okay?"

It was both irritating and comforting that Ruby knew exactly how to calm me down.

"Can I just stress about it for five more minutes and then be done?"

He cracked a half-smile before planting a kiss on my forehead.

"Just five more minutes."
