After 2 weeks everyone was sitting in the living room, they all were talking when Aman's phone buzzed, the name of the commissioner uncle was flashing on the screen he excused himself and left to talk. His heart skipped a beat as he answered.
"Hello commissioner uncle." Aman said his voice was edged with unease.
"Aman, I have urgent news. Rehan has escaped from the jail." The Commissioner's voice was grave.
Aman froze as he listened and he tightly gripped the phone. "What? How is that possible? He was supposed to be in a maximum security prison!"
"He managed to overpower a guard during the transfer and fled. We believe he had outside help. Our teams are already on high alert, but I want you to know immediately. Given his history, you and muskan could be a target."
Aman's jaw clenched, his mind racing. Rehan was out, and this time he wouldn't hesitate to exact his revenge.
"Thank you for informing me commisioner uncle, I'll take precautions." Aman said, his voice firm.
As he ended the call, he turned to see muskan was standing by the doorway, her face pale.
"What's wrong Aman?" She asked her voice trembling.
He walked over to her, placing his hand on her shoulders he said. "Rehan has escaped. We need to stay vigilant. I won't let him harm us."
"I trust you Aman, we'll face it together." Muskan eyes filled with fear but she nodded resolutely.
Aman silently vowed that no matter what, he would protect muskan at all costs.
At the same night, Aman called his one close friend and trusted ally, inspector Ravi.
"Ravi, I need you to station a few officers near my house, Rehan has escaped and i don't want to take any chances."
"I'm already on it Aman. We're monitoring all possibles hideouts and known associates of rehan. He won't go far. But you and muskan stay indoors and don't hesitate to call me if you notice anything suspicious." Ravi replied.
As Aman ended the call, he returned to muskan, who was sitting on the couch, visibly shaken. He sat beside her, holding her hands firmly he said. "Jaan, I know this is terrifying, but I promise, nothing will happen to you. I'll be your shield."
"I know you will Aman, but we can't underestimate Rehan. He's cunning and ruthless, he won't stop until he's destroyed everything we have." Muskan said looking into his eyes, her own filled with determination.
"That's why we need to stay a step ahead. Rehan thrives on fear. But I won't let him control our lives. We'll be ready for him." Aman nodded saying and his jaw tightened.
Suddenly, the power went out, plunging the house into darkness. Muskan gasped and held Aman's arms tightly.
"It's just a power cut." Aman said though his gut told him otherwise. He grabbed a flashlight and scanned the room.
"Stay close to me." He said and muskan nodded.
A faint voice came from the backyard, the sound of rustling leaves. Aman's instincts kicked in. He pickup the baseball bat he kept by the door for emergencies and motioned muskan to follow him quietly.
As they approached the backdoor, Aman's voice was low but steady. "If it's him, jaan, don't Panick. Run to the front door and call Ravi immediately."
Muskan nodded her heart pounding as Aman slowly opened the door. The flashlight beam sliced through the darkness, but the backyard appeared empty.
Just then, a shadow darted across the garden, and a mocking laugh echoed through the stillness.
"Aman!" Rehan's chilling voice called out. " Did you really think you could keep me away forever?"
"This ends here, Rehan. You're not going to win." Aman stepped forward, his grip tightened on the bat.
Rehan emerged from the shadows, his face twisted into a sinister grin. "Oh Aman, you didn't even know what was coming, this is just a beginning."
Before Aman could react, Rehan vanished back into darkness, leaving only his chilling laughter behind.
"What does he mean Aman, what is he planning?" Muskan asked and clutched Aman's arms.
"I don't know jaan? But whatever it is, we'll be ready. He won't break us, jaan. Not now, not ever." Aman said, his voice grim.

On the other side, Rehan stood by the large window of his dimly lit study, his mind racing with dark thoughts. The room reeked of malice as held a photograph of muskan and Aman in his hand. Their happy smiles only fueled his hatred.
"They took everything from me, it's time they pay for what they've done." He muttered to himself, his voice low and cold.
Rehan's henchmen, kabir entered the room silently, awaiting instructions.
"Kabir, tomorrow when muskan leaves for the cafe, ensure everything is in place. The driver will fake a breakdown on the usual route. You know what to do next." Rehan said turning to him with sinister smile.
Kabir nodded, understanding the plan. "And Aman?" He asked cautiously.
"Aman will come running to save her, like the fool he is, but by the time he realized what's happening, it'll be too late. We'll have muskan, and he'll be left helpless." Rehan sneered his eyes gleamed with satisfaction as he imagined the Chaos his plan would unleash. For him it wasn't just about revenge, it was about breaking them both, piece by piece.
