Chapter 15: MISS YOUR BABE ALREADY?

Today, immediately after drinking the breakfast smoothies I made, we went to training. If we are going to meet other awakeners, we can be assured that we will have to have to fight against some of them. Hence, why we fell on another intensive training period. We usually use Kayden's ability strengthening method every day but when we are approaching fight days like our previous spars with Jisuk, we gained the habit of going full-on military regimen. We sleep at school and train as soon as we step into the house until the next day. Physical workout, ability practice, one-on-one practice combat between me and Jiwoo, you name it. After hours of intensive drilling under Kayden's harsh but helpful coaching, we ended up meditating with our teacher's method. Jiwoo was in a lotus position while I was doing a handstand. I have been using our cat's force control for weeks now and have even had the time to experiment with it. Kayden ordered us to be able to use it in all kinds of positions before. Thus now, we both could use the method while sleeping, walking or even showering. However, I have found that somehow the way that worked best with me was when I was doing something else at the same time. More precisely, another action that necessitated focus. So I usually drew, read or baked at the same time. When I told Kayden my intake on the matter, he told me that I seemed to be better with controlling and analyzing my ability than my brother but sucked compared to him when it came to physical training. That is why he told me to work on my muscles while doing force control instead. We were both focusing, my body trembling from the strain when Jiwoo told our furred teacher:

- Mr,Kayden, Nara and I decided to join the academy.

-Then off you go.

At the end of our session, we showered, got ready and left for school. On the way, we met Wooin who was feeding strays. The matter of the awakened academy was inevitably brought up in our conversation. He revealed that the union also proposed him to participate. 

- So are you going? Jisuk's sister said it would be a good opportunity for us.

-I am still thinking about it.

-What did my sister say?

Coming out of nowhere and surprising us all, Jisuk joined the discussion. When we revealed to him what we were talking about, he told us he was invited as well but wouldn't go. 

-Too bad, Nara and I are going. Wooin got an offer too, but he is still thinking.

-I'll go if you two are going.

Seeing how Jisuk started looking at us three with a longing gaze, I told him to come as well so that we could all be together there. He ended up trying to appear reluctant while accepting to go as well. I should text Subin to ask her if she is going too. I did so in class and quickly received an answer. She is going too! While I was getting eager about the fun we would have, I received another text. What kind of cryptogram is this?  That message is from... 

Kayden?

I texted him back wondering what he was trying to say that I couldn't read because of all the typos. He only replied with even more gibberish so I simply closed my phone. If it was urgent, he would have called. Soon, the bell rang and we went home. Upon arriving in our living room, we saw the kitty trio, Kayden and the monster cat surrounding two knocked-out guys. We both stood there, stunned. I let out a "What the fuck" and Jiwoo asked :

- Who are these people?!

-I don't know, they broke into the house, but why do you look so surprised? I already texted Nara about them.

-So that was what those scriptures were about! Sorry, my archeologist years are far behind me, I couldn't decipher your hieroglyphics. 

- Hey, try writing with paws before getting all sarcastic with me!
