She began to tell me about someone she can get to take Max away some guy who really wants her and since he already got it out for Kari for killing his boy he wouldn't mind taking something from Kari I needed to know his name "So who is this guy" she smiled "His name Meko don't worry I know where he at and what to tell him just leave it to me and Max won't be around for much longer" I smiled wide and sipped my wine "Well then bitch let's get to plotting" she laughed and started to talk plans.

I woke up dreading today why because Kari was taking me to his moms house for this family barbeque the only thing I was really looking forward to was seeing my baby Kiah. "Max yo ass ready yet" I smacked my lips and rolled my eyes "Yea I am I'm coming out" since it was outside I wasn't really dressed up but I was dressed for the heat while still looking nice and appropriate with a burgandy crop top and some black ripped pants with my low infrared jordans and my hair was curled I didn't have on make up and I didn't really have on jewelry just a choker and my belly ring. I grabbed my phone small clutch and walked out my room "About damn time" Kari said when I walked out "Whatever let's just go" he looked me up and down "You look good even know you jocking my style" I looked at his outfit and he had on a red and black jeans a black leather hat some gold chains and his low infrared Jordan's too I sighed "Now I gotta change my shoes" he pulled my arm "To bad we aint got time" I smacked teeth as he pulled me out the house telling ghost to lock up.
We pulled up to his mothers house it was packed with cars music was bumping and I could smell the barbeque from the car. Kari got out and came and opened my door before I could he helped me out and we walked inside the house hand in hand I took a deep breath as he went straight to the kitchen. He walked up behind a woman whose face I couldn't see and kissed her cheek "Kari what do you want" she asked not turning around "To see what you were cooking and to introduce you to someone" she sucked her teeth "I don't wanna meet none of yo hoes Ja'kari" he laughed "She not a hoe" she wiped off her hands and turned around this woman was gorgeous and if I liked women I would go for her she was close to chocolate with flawless skin she had on a black spaghetti strap dress and her hair was in a bun not to mention she didn't look a day over 30. I smiled politely and stuck my hand out "How are you doing Ms. Terrell my names Maxine" she smiled "So your the Maxine I've been hearing so much about it's nice to finally meet you because my granddaughter won't stop talking about you..she knew you were coming and told me she wanted you to do her hair" I chuckled "Its cool she was right you are beautiful oh and I don't do hand shakes" I nodded and she pulled me into a small hug and let go "Kari show her to Ja'Kiah room so she can do something to her head please" he nodded and pulled me away "That went surprisingly well she not usually up for meeting girls I bring to her after Kiah mom" I laughed "That was obvious when she called me a garden tool but I'm not stressing it, it's not like we dating so I don't care but she is beautiful" he nodded as we walked down the hall I looked at the pictures on the wall and stopped when I seen a picture of Kari's mom and a young boy sitting on some steps "Is this you" I asked Kari "Yea this was back when I use to wait at the school every time my pops said he would come pick me up but the nigga never showed one day my mom and granny waited with me and when I got upset she got me to smile and feel better my granny snapped a shot" I smiled and nodded he pushed open a door with butterflies and fairies on it he walked in "Hey princess" she turned from her tv "Daddy" she jumped up on her bed and he went to her "I brought somebody with me" he moved to the side and kiah looked over at me and jumped out his arms "Maxy" I laughed "Hey baby girl" I said picking her up she kissed my cheek "Look at your hair" her wild hair was everywhere and puffy like it had been washed and blow dried she giggled "I told Gi Gi I wanted you to do it" I nodded "How about we give you a bun" she nodded "Kari where's her hair stuff" "Ill get it out my moms room" I nodded and he walked away.
