"You think I'm an ymbryne?"

Jenny looked at the older woman clearly confused and a bit surprised. Miss Peregrine had just gotten done showing her around to the children and had time to see their peculiarities, Matilda showing them her power as well. When they began to question Miss Honey's peculiarity, Alma mentioned about the possibility of her being an ymbryne.

"I can't say for sure, but it could be likely." Alma replies, Matilda grinning at the thought.

"You could turn into a bird!" She exclaims and Jenny couldn't help but let out a light laugh.

"I'm not quite sure." She says, a bit disbelieving.

"Miss P could show you if you wanted to see." One of the children mention. She was older, close to 17. Jenny recognized her as Emma.

"I could try if you'd like." The ymbryne agrees and Miss Honey thought for a moment before sending her a smile, Alma finding her eyes move down to the womans mouth for just a second when she noticed.

"Alright." She agrees.

"Wonderful." The ravenette hums with a pleased smile before looking over at Emma. "We will be practicing in the garden, Miss Bloom, if you need anything."

"You got it, Miss P." Emma smiles, gently taking Matilda's hand to show her around the yard where the other children were playing.

Jenny watched then as they walked off, Hugh shouting over to them to join them for a game of soccer. The woman couldn't help but smile when she seen how happy Matilda was, it must have been nice for the girl to be around others like her. After all, she spent years in a family that was quite the opposite and Jenny understood how she felt.

"It's been a while since we've had a guest if you couldn't tell." Alma mentions with a light chuckle gaining the woman's attention, her heart clenching slightly when the woman's brown eyes met hers.

"We hardly do back at home." Jenny replies, following alongside the ymbryne as they walked to the garden. "It's nice for a change. To talk to someone."

"Don't you have anyone at home to talk to?"

"The only people I find worth talking to is the little ones I teach." Miss Honey replies softly, her eyes focused on the flowers and greenary of the greenhouse when they entered.

"What about your parents?" Alma asks, Jenny hoping the falter in her steps wasn't noticible, a dull pain in her chest at the thought.

"They aren't around anymore, but that's alright. I have Matilda now." The woman responds, the ravenettes gaze softening into slight concern.

"I'm sorry, Jenny." She says quietly but the brunette shrugged it off.

"It's alright, really."

Sensing the woman didn't want to get into much more detail about it, Alma dropped the topic.

"So how exactly do you, well, do the things an ymbryne does?" Jenny asks, her brown eyes moving to glance over the ymbryne.

"When it comes to shifting, it's quite simple. But time manipulation will have to be something I should teach you." She replies, suddenly stopping in the middle of the garden, Jenny bumping into her.

"Sorry." She says quietly with a sheepish smile, her cheeks burning as she took a small step back.

"No worries, Jenny." The ymbryne replies, checking her pocket watch before they began. "I can show you how to shift and then you can take a go. It may take a few tries, especially if you haven't used your ability at all so don't get upset with yourself."
