As part of a demonstration in his video, specifically on basing a conlang on an existing one, he included himself altering the Arabic phonology in some ways. I decided to modify it with some ideas of mine.

Consonants: m, n, ŋ, b, t, d, k, q, ʔ, ɸ, θ̠, ð̠, s, z, ɕ, ʑ, χ, ʁ, ħ, ʕ, h, r, l, j, w

Vowels: a, aː, ə, ɨː, i, iː, u, uː

Syllables: C(G)V(R)(C)

The G represents glides and the R represents resonants.

Stress: Same as Arabic.

When Lexis gets around to his videos on conlang grammar and whatnot, I might utilize them for this and other conlangs. Though I could look into Arabic grammar, and modify it via simplifying various areas and adding in features foreign to it. I don't want to recreate Thandian though, so I'd like to be careful.

The tri-consonantal roots of Arabic are significant to the grammar in various ways, so I could utilize a formulaic standard nonetheless, but also add in irregularities for natural flavor. The words would need to be different though, so I don't end up creating an Arabic relex. There is their taxonomy which I could modify as well, as their word for "animal" is limited to land animals, excluding birds and fish, as Lichen would discover.
