It has been a week since they had arrived back at the keep. Daenys only came out early in the morning to avoid the large crowds of people. She would go flying with her dragon friends and play with them for a while. Before, she would go and train with her father and brothers and would sometimes train with her uncle and Ser Criston if she still had too much energy.

But today was the tournament, and Daenys couldn't get away from it. Daemon was taking part in the tournament, and he had a trick up his sleeve. He knew how to get back at Ser Criston Cole. He managed to get Rhaenyra on board with the plan also, and she warned her father, who was not impressed in the slightest but agreed in the end. Because whatever his daughter wanted, he gave her.

Daenys had gotten ready with the help of her mother. Dressed in her thin body armer around her chest and loose skirt that went to the ground hiding her tail and trousers, with her detachable cape that went under her wings.

Rhaenyra smiled proudly at her daughter as she took in her appearance.

"You look beautiful, my sweet girl." Rhaenyra said in high valyrian. "You know what to do when your father is up."

"Yes, mother." Daenys smirked at her mother. She reminded her mother of Daemon. She just hoped her daughter wouldn't get hurt again.

With that, they left. Being joined by Jace, Luke, Baela, Rhaena, and Daemon. The younger children stayed with wet nurses.

As they sat down, the king stood up to speak.

"Welcome Lords and ladies and knights of the seven kingdoms. Today, we celebrated the return of my daughter, my heir, and her family. Please enjoy. Let the tournament begin."

The crowd went wild when they cheered.

As the tournament went on, the Blackwood family beat the Brackens in a messy fight with Lord Blackwood taking a few cuts with him. While Lord Bracken being tended to by maesters. And Daenys eyes caught you young man that was with them as he cheered for the winner that she learnt to be his father.

Then it was time for Ser Criston Cole to take part. She knew what that meant, so she moved her hands behind her and tugged at the strings, keeping the skirt in place. She was ready.

"Ser Criston Cole, protector of the queen will now challenge Prince Daemon, Prince of the city!!" The man bellowed from his box.

As they rode out, Ser Criston took this opportunity to ride up to the stand.

"Princess Daenys, it would be an honour to have your favour to win this tournament." He spoke loudly, knowing she could hear and waited for her to stand and give it to him once she understood and had it translated to her.

When Rhaenyra translated it to her, she smirked, knowing he would not win. So when she gave it to him and spoke in broken common tongue, he smiled, thinking she was hoping he did.

"Wish er... you Luck.. Sir Cristone." And with that, she passed him her favour that was black and gold leaves with red and orange Snapdragons on it.

And he rode off, smirking to Daemon, who smirked back without him seeing. He is going to enjoy this. Seeing Ser Criston get putting in his place by a girl nearly half his age.

They went a few rounds trying to knock each other off the horse it started to get tense when they both struck the legs of each others horse, sending them flying. Everyone held their breath as they waited for them to get up.

And they did with a groan, and Ser Criston called for his morning star.

"Ser Criston Cole has called for his sword. And Prince Daemon had asked for Prince... erm Princess Daenys as his fighter."
