Chapter 1: Fatui Harbingers

POV Capitano:

"I have gotten what you have asked for Pierro"

I told him as a large figure with medium length silver hair stepped out of the shadows as I delivered the documents to him personally as he hummed and glanced at them before speaking in a deep emotionless voice:

"You have done well in your mission of acquiring these documents Capitano. You are as efficient as ever which I expect to be consistent at all times"

At that a young man with short, tousled orange hair spoke up after groaning out of boredom:

"Damn imagine getting complimented from Pierro himself now I envy you Capitano when will it take for me to ascend in rankings!!!"

Childe otherwise known as the 11th of the Fatui Harbingers spoke up in envy and jealousy of Capitano success while.he keeps getting easy missions die to his low ranking as Dottore who chuckled in amusement spoke up:

"Now! Now! Childe no need to get jealous of other people success it's not like you will ever reach his level so how about you stop being a child and help me in my experiments after this meeting concludes?"

Childe hearing Dottore words scowled in annoyance as he glared at him and spoke in irritation:

"You might be ranked Second in the Fatui Harbingers but that doesn't mean I have to follow your orders so go find someone else who enjoys your experiments as much as you do"

Pulcinella who is ranked as the 5th Fatui Harbinger is drinking tea on the table at the far end opposite to Arlecchino spoke up in annoyance as he sets his tea cup on the table and spoke in irritation:

"I am drinking tea over here so stop arguing like little children and let's discuss the important matters here shall we???"

At that silence engulfed the table as everyone nodded their heads in agreement as Pierro who was silent until now spoke up again in a authoritive voice:

"Pulcinella is right we must not waste time discussing such childish matters time is racing against us so let's discuss how will we acquire the Ameno Gnosis from Monstadt"

Alrecchino who was silent till now spoke up in a calm and composed demaonor as she looked at everyone before speaking:

"Thats right now since we have the maps of Monstadt which contains the ins and outs of that city we know the vulnerabilities of that city so I advise that we send La Signora to take on this mission since she is most familiar with that city so she can plan according to the circumstances at hand"

Silence engulfed the table as everyone fell into contemplation as everyone soon nodded their heads in agreement with Alrecchino suggestion as La Signora smirked seeing the trust that her fellow Harbingers have in here until Capitano spoke up breaking the silence:

"I may have to object on your plan Alrecchino"

At that everyone heads turned to Capitano as Alrecchino raised her eyebrows in slight confusion and intrigue but she nodded her head signalling for Capitano to continue:

"While your plan might be effective if we were attacking a minor nation with no significant value for us but you are underestimating Monstadt by a lot despite the fact that we need the Ameno Gnosis from Barbatos but have you ever considered the fact that La Signora might be attacked by the entire Monstadt army? La Signora is a strong woman but everyone have their downfall against overwhelming opponents in my experience as a general and being a right hand man for the Tsaritsa I have seen many strong people collapse under the pressure of overwhelming opponents so I am suggesting that we send another harbinger to accompany La Signora on this mission if things go south she will have support to rely on that's all I am asking to ensure that this operation is a success"

He then paused as he bowed his head and sat down at his seat as the silence was soon cut off by Pierro who had a pleased smile on his face as he nodded his head and looked at Capitano before speaking:

"I may have to agree with Capitano insight right here sending another harbinger to ensure everything proceeds smoothly is a smart move which will prevent the element of surprise from harming us directly so La Signora which harbinger would you choose to accompany you on this mission?"

All eyes soon turned to La Signora as she looked around with an amused smile on her face as she spoke:

"While it's interesting to hear that I would be chosen to take on this mission but to answer your doubts Capitano i am quite confident that I can win if the entire Monstadt army attacked me directly and secondly we all know that you are the very person that crippled Barbatos of his prime 500 years ago so it wouldn't be hard to defeat him as well"

Capitano remained silent as he chose to ignore her comments as Signora then turned her head to Childe and pointed a finger at him as she spoke:

"I will take Childe with me on this mission is that fine with you all?"

Everyone nodded their heads in agreement with La Signora suggestion as Childe had an excited grin at his face like a child getting his favourite candy at a grocery store as Pierro spoke up in a calm and composed demeanour:

"Very well La Signora and Childe you both shall carry out operation Crimson Eclipse in a week due course you may use the resources available to carry out this operation does anyone have any questions?"

Seeing that no one spoke up as they remained still in their places waiting for further commands from Pierro he then sighed and spoke up in a calm authoritive voice:

"Meeting dismissed you all may leave but Capitano you stay I want to have a talk with you and it's crucial for both of us"

Capitano hearing this remained in his seat as everyone soon left the meeting area as the doors then closed behind as Pierro looked at Capitano seriously and spoke:

"It seems like everything is going smoothly for this organisation isn't it Capitano?"

Capitano nodded his head as he looked at Pierro from his mask and spoke in a emotionless cold voice:

"I have to agree with you Pierro it has been a long time and so far the Fatui is having nothing but success so far but I won't get overconfident yet so I will remain humble"

Pierro smirked as he heard Capitano words as he let out a small chuckle and nodded his head in agreement and spoke:

"Ah this is your most notable trait isn't it Capitano? your honour is something that defines you as a person I suppose there's no denying that you wouldn't even kill an enemy that's too weak to defend himself I must say that you are the most sane person here in this organisation sadly"

Capitano nodded his head in agreement as he tapped his fingers on the table and spoke in a calm voice:

"Enough about me for now tell me how is the Tsaritsa faring after that incident 500 years ago? It's been a long time since I talked with her I was busy doing my duties as a Harbinger that plauged my attention away from her"

Pierro nodded his head as he smiled and patted Capitano shoulders and spoke in a calm voice:

"It's okay your concern is understandable but don't fret she is doing well so far and in fact that the reason why I made you wait for everyone to leave it's because the Tsaritsa wants to have a talk with you"

Capitano raised his eyebrows in intrigue and interest as he spoke up with slight curiosity:

"So she wants to talk with me now after all this time huh?... Am I allowed to leave  Pierro I don't think I should make her wait if she wants to talk with me urgently"

Pierro nodded his head as he made a dismissive hand signature which is a gesture for him to leave as Capitano nodded his head and stood up and left the meeting area with the thought that's running through his mind like a persistent toothache:

"I wonder what is she going to talk with me about?"
