Azazel's POV
December 11th, 2022 ME
At the Squidbeak Tower, I found myself resting in my room, taking a moment to recuperate from my battle with Melaina. The throbbing pain in my arm had faded away after I had entrusted it to Ddraig, allowing me to wield the Over Booster. The experience had heightened my awareness of my own limitations and driven home the importance of mastering the Scale Mail; it was clear to me that I had to train harder, but I was at a loss for where to begin or who might be able to guide me in this endeavor.
Azazel: I'm glad my arm has gone back to normal. I can't imagine my arm remaining a dragon's.
I was staring up at the intricately carved ceiling of my room, where shadows danced playfully in the fading light. Just then, the door creaked open, and Callie stepped inside to check on me. She wore the same outfit from when she was rescued five years ago.
Callie: Hey, Azazel! Are you feeling all right?
Azazel: Yeah, I think I'll be okay. Just a bit tired from the mission.
I pushed myself upright on the bed, stretching my arms to ease the stiffness from my muscles.
As I prepared to swing my legs over the edge of the bed and stand up, Callie suddenly sprang at me, her arms wrapping around me in a tight embrace, causing me to tumble back onto the bed with a surprised yelp.
Callie: Don't scare us like that by facing Dark Squid alone!
I couldn't help but chuckle a little.
Azazel: I guess I was a bit reckless back there. But for you, Callie, I'll be more careful.
I was running my fingers through her hair in a gesture of comfort.
Her face lit up with that radiant smile of hers that had the uncanny ability to brighten even the darkest of moods. Callie's hair was back to her classic look; both of her tentacles were tied back neatly, with the neon-yellow gradient replaced by a rich magenta hue that is signature to her look.
Callie was now blushing as she looked at me.
Callie: There's something I wanna do with you.
Azazel: What is it?
Without hesitation, Callie slipped her cardigan off her body, then grabbed onto her shirt and proceeded to take both it and her camisole off. Then came her beanie, her shorts, and boots, leaving her in black lingerie that was speckled with pink cherry blossom designs on it.
