After breakfast, Ayaan suggested they explore the island. He had arranged for a private yacht to take them to hidden beaches and scenic spots. Maya, dressed in a simple yet elegant summer dress, looked hesitant but excited.
As they sailed along the sparkling blue waters, Maya’s childlike curiosity surfaced. She peppered Ayaan with questions about the sea, the places they were visiting, and even the yacht itself.
“Do you know how to steer this?” she asked, pointing to the controls.
Ayaan raised an eyebrow, amused. “Of course. Want me to show you?”
She nodded eagerly, and he guided her to the captain’s seat, standing behind her as he placed her hands on the wheel. “There you go. You’re steering now.”
Maya laughed nervously. “What if I crash us?”
“I wouldn’t mind being stranded with you,” he said, his voice low and teasing.
She turned to scold him but lost her train of thought when she noticed the intensity in his gaze. Her heart skipped a beat, and she quickly looked away.
Later in the day, they reached a secluded beach. Ayaan laid out a picnic while Maya wandered along the shore, collecting seashells. He watched her with a soft smile, marveling at how effortlessly she brought joy into his life.
Maya suddenly turned and caught him staring. “What?” she asked, tilting her head.
“Nothing,” he replied, smirking. “Just wondering how I got so lucky.”
Her cheeks flushed, but she tried to play it off. “You’re just saying that.”
“No, I mean it,” he said, standing and walking toward her. He took her hands in his, his gaze unwavering. “Maya, you’ve made me a better man. And for that, I’ll spend the rest of my life making you happy.”
She blinked up at him, her eyes shining with emotion. “You already do, Ayaan.”
That evening, back at the villa, Ayaan arranged for a private dinner under the stars. The villa staff had set up a table on the beach, surrounded by fairy lights and candles.
Maya was mesmerized. “Ayaan, this is… magical.”
“It’s just the beginning,” he said, pulling out her chair for her.
As they ate, they talked about their dreams and their future. Ayaan, for the first time, opened up about his struggles—his family, the pressures of his dual life, and how Maya had become his anchor.
“You’re my safe place,” he admitted, his voice thick with emotion. “The one thing I never want to lose.”
Maya reached across the table, placing her hand over his. “You’ll never lose me, Ayaan. I’m yours.”
His heart swelled at her words, and he vowed silently to protect her at all costs.
Back in the villa, the intimacy between them grew even deeper. This time, it wasn’t just about passion but a connection that transcended words. Ayaan made sure Maya felt cherished, while Maya, in her own shy way, began to express her love for him more openly.
Every touch, every glance, every whispered word was a testament to their growing bond, a love that promised to weather any storm.
For Ayaan, it was a moment of clarity. He didn’t just love Maya—she was his life, his world, and the one person who completed him. And he intended to spend every day showing her just how much she meant to him.
The next morning, the sun filtered through the sheer curtains of the villa, casting golden streaks across the room. Maya stirred first, her lashes fluttering as she opened her eyes to see Ayaan propped up on an elbow, gazing at her. His hair was slightly tousled, and his expression was soft, yet there was a spark of mischief in his eyes.
