The night is dark, the thing bringing light are the stars scattered around, with the full moon hanging in the sky. There's no one outside in this area, and the silence makes me feel more alone.

I am sitting in my car, pulling my car sideways. Looking in the empty road. In the distance the Stadium looms over the area. There is only my car and my thoughts with me. The darkness of the night and my life both have consumed me.

My life is a mess right now, the only thing that keeps me stable is Football.

I take out my phone, my fingers linger over the particular name, I was so tempted to text her, I don't know why?.

It's been 3 weeks since my last text with her nor she was trying to reach me. She was kind enough to give me her number after I asked her and then I stopped texting her without explanation.

“She won't reply to your text” my head started talking. “ she is a kind person, she would reply to your text” my heart encouraged me.

“Both of you stop,” I shouted.

I know she will reply to my text because there's no reason to be upset with me as we were just Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas friends.

But why do I care what her reaction will be?

I should be thinking of the upcoming tournament instead of thinking of this particular woman who I have never met in person but has had a power to pop on my mind since I got her number.

I think for a moment, picturing the situation before sending her a text.

“What to say… what to say” and then

“Hey, are you awake?” And now my heart won against my brain as I sent her a late night text.

My heart jumped to my throat as I waited for her reply. Five minutes past Tick tick… Why does this 5 minutes seem like forever?

I have never been this nervous texting but when it comes to her, everything seems different.

My phone buzzed on with a new notification and It was hers.

   Her: Long time no see

I didn't expect her teaseful reply but I liked it.

Me: Ya, I know, I have been busy with my session for the upcoming tournament.

“ I have been fighting with my thoughts” they were the exact true words but i can't put out my problem into a person who just being kind to reply my text after i disappeared for the 3 fucking weeks.

Her: Oh ya, my brother told me about the tournament.

  Me: ?

Her: I am assuming you are my brother's teammate.
