chapter 7: trust

TW: panic attack, might ended up hating this character after reading this

“We’re home!” Gempa hummed as he unlocked the door and the other brothers followed along behind him. “Air.. Where are we?” Blaze whispered, scared. Ais clasped Blaze’s hand reassuringly. “This is your home. I’m so glad you’re all healed.” Ais grinned at Blaze, patting his head gently.

It had been a few months since Blaze woke up, and only today was he discharged. Doctors would come visit him every two days, and they suspected due to some incidents, Blaze might forget everything again sometimes.

Blaze also had finally decided to trust the other brothers due to Ais’ convincing. Ais had realised how impulsive he had been, but still. They did kind of deserve it.

But anyways, Blaze was finally back! They were throwing a big party later that evening, with all sorts of cakes and pastries. Unfortunately, Yaya had insisted to bring her cookies.

Other than that, the party would be a blast! Everyone in town was invited, so it would be pretty busy. That was supposed to be good, but Ais didn’t get it. How did they think Blaze was gonna cope?!

Sadly, he lost the argument after Solar’s reasoning. Well, I’ll be there for Api no matter what. And if he feels uncomfortable, I’m dragging him out of there. There were no balloons at the party, of course. Just in case they popped.

Gempa still felt the most guilty for the incident. Even after 2 years. He blamed it on himself that his words were the ones who pushed Blaze to such actions.

Halilintar was still sensitive about the panic attack he had 2 years ago, which was really very silly. He hated that feeling. ‘At least the nerd had the decency to not tease me about it. Not that he would dare to.’  He thought grumpily to himself.

Solar had planned the entire party. From the food to the invites, even the decorations. As payback he bought balloons, but Gempa caught him. That would’ve been an amazing prank, but whatever. Solar thought ruefully.

But then again, Petir might’ve had a panic attack again if they burst so its probably for the better. Arghh, but Solar really wanted to get back at him, he just didn’t know how.

He needed something that would make him angry and annoyed but not scared or worried. Wait. He knew. Halilintar hated loud noises, didn’t he? So why not… turn the music all the way up?

“PRANK PETIR? NO WAY!” Taufan and Duri shrieked in unison.

“Look, I’m fine with pranking people, especially you-“ Taufan explained but got cut off by Solar. “WHAT?!”

“UH-uum.. AND PETIR! But this is Api’s return party, what if something goes wrong because of this prank?” Taufan asked with a tinge of concern in his voice as a worried expression fell on his face and Duri nodded in agreement.

‘Figured.’ Solar thought to himself

“Trust me on this you two, I know my way around with strategies. I have smarts. So this is gonna be fun! Plus.. if you agree to help me on this, I have a reward,” Solar tempted them with a mischievous grin on his face and the two troublemakers tilted their heads in confusion.

“Something awesome,” Solar smirked and the duo’s eyes immediately lit up in awe. “What is it??” They asked in unison. “Wait, it’s in my bag…” solar reached into his white duffel bag and pulled out a sphere shaped object and placed it on the table in front of them.

“Ooh~ what’s that?” Duri hummed while Taufan hovered around the strange object in suspicion. “Tap the top, and you’ll see,” Solar  pointed towards the top of the object. Taufan tentatively came closer to the object and tapped the top of it. Suddenly, a bright blast was shot at them, making them close their eyes to avoid the blinding light.
