"No way in the fucking hell you want me to do that-are you kidding me?"
"No I suppose not Eunjissi. That's the deal..."
"So that's the deal? You want me to- wait, I don't even wanna name it."
It was stupid, insane and tragic.
"Why me, you all are so rich, so powerful I suppose, then why are you hiring me to do it?"
He looked at me, a stern expression on display, but his posture remained relaxed, as if he knew that I would accept the deal anyway.
"Mmhmm, that's the most Because it's only you who is capable of doing it."
"Mr. Harper, do you realise that this trip we are talking about has a particular person that I want to stay away from?"
"Yes."
I gasped internally, was he disregarding my feelings connected to my past or he really considered it and telling me to do it anyway?
God knows what goes on with the brilliant mind of his.
"You think it's that easy? There's Namjoon, he's my brother and I hope you can recall my past, or say, our past,
"Moreover, there's the person who my dad had arranged for me to marry and that guy who is the friend of my brother, friend of my friend, and somehow also the best friend of the guy my dad want me to marry." I raise my hands in surrender,
"They all are friends, closest ones, all seven of them." He said, his tone turning dark, "and it is important that all these people get-"
"No name it, it's stupid, I don't want to hear it."
I look away for a while while processing what I should actually do, while his gaze fixed on me.
"You said it's a deal right?" I asked, folding my leg cross, one on the other, straightening my back,
"Yes I suppose it is." He replied, then he slided out a paper infront of me in the table smoothly, it was a blank check singed by him.
"I have signed it, put whatever the number you please." He smirked, but I smiled back, picked up the paper,
Only to tear it into smaller pieces.
While i did, his smirk didn't budge, but his head straightened instead of tilted slyly.
"If we are playing this game, let me remind you Mr Harper, I am an old player." I said, placing the torn pieces neatly on the table at the centre.
"How fortunate," he replied, his voice darker.
I continued, "I don't want the money, clearly," i toss my hair back, "I would rather want a return favour from you."
His gaze never changed the entire time, but I could swear his lips twitched into a smile for a second.
He placed his elbows on the desk, leaning a bit, and clasped his scarred hands, "By the end of the seventh month, if you succeed the given task, your wish will be my command."
"Looks like you've understood the assignment." I chuckled, his eyebrows raised,
"Trust me Eunji, I always do."
His stern look returned after a warm smile gave a glimpse, but there was something healthy held in those eyes, like there was more to what he was telling me.
Nor I wanted to know.
"Precisely, my mere words won't justify any of my doings, but I hope one day you'll know the truth even with no words spoken."
