Grace spent the rest of the evening alone, sitting on the beach and watching the sun dip below the horizon. The sky turned shades of pink and orange as the waves lapped at the shore, the sound soothing in the midst of her inner turmoil.
She didn't want to hurt anyone. She wasn't trying to take anyone's place. But no matter how hard she tried to keep her distance, the boys kept pulling her in. And now, with Sarah's warning ringing in her ears, Grace felt more lost than ever.
