Days passed in a blur. Grace found herself spending more and more time with the boys-John B., Pope, and JJ, who had all become close to her in different ways. But the more time she spent with them, the more she could feel the subtle shifts in the dynamics of the group.

John B. seemed to always be looking out for her, even in small, thoughtful ways. Pope would offer her books to read or engage her in intellectual debates about the world. JJ... well, JJ had a way of making everything seem lighter, turning the mundane into something fun.

But Grace couldn't shake the feeling that something was changing in the background. Sarah and Kiara had grown colder toward her, and she didn't know how to fix it.
