Noah settled back into his seat, looking at Sarah with a sense of urgency. "We need to contact Dr. Rose again. Only she can help Jack speak and address his mental condition. We're running out of time. We should have reached out to her sooner. Let me try calling her once more."
Sarah nodded, her frustration evident. "Yes, we absolutely should have done that before. Let me call her now."
Noah was reading the file when he noticed Sarah dialing the same number repeatedly, her frustration growing. "What are you up to?" he asked.
"I'm trying to reach Dr. Rose Wilson," Sarah said, frustration evident in her voice as she redialed the psychiatrist's number.
"Her phone is powered off."
"If her number is off, incessantly calling won't turn it back on," Noah said matter-of-factly, his eyes returning to the files.
"What should we do, then?" Sarah asked, her irritation palpable.
"We need Jack to speak up and tell us who that masked man with him was. If we send him back to a mental asylum, there's a real risk he might escape again and harm another Harris family member." Her eyes, sharp and concerned, sought Noah's response.
"Why would he kill again?" Noah asked, his brow furrowed. "He's already exacted his revenge."
"Who can say?" Sarah leaned back, her chair creaking slightly. "I needed to discuss Jack with Dr. Rose. She might provide insight into his recent actions."
Noah nodded in understanding. "Maybe she's just busy."
At that moment, a police constable entered the office, his face serious.
"Ma'am, I went to Dr. Rose's apartment. The building guard informed me she hasn't been there for the past two weeks."
Sarah's eyes widened. "Where has she gone?"
"I asked the guard, but he had no information," the constable replied.
"Alright, you can go," Sarah said, returning to Noah. "Where is Dr. Rose?" Her voice was tinged with anxiety.
"Maybe she went to visit family or somewhere else," Noah suggested, trying to explain.
"Does she have family, and where do they live?" Sarah inquired.
"I don't know. I was speculating," Noah admitted.
"Call your mother," Sarah suggested. "See if she knows anything about Dr. Rose's family. She might be able to help us."
"Alright," Noah agreed and left the office to make the call.
A few minutes later, Noah returned and resumed his seat.
"Mom's going to try to find out about Dr. Rose's family or any relatives. She doesn't know her personally; an old friend recommended her."
"Noah, we need to act fast. Only Dr. Rose can help us with this case," Sarah said urgently. "We need to locate her as soon as possible; time is running out."
