JACAERYS.
"Will he live?"
"His wounds will heal– but only time could tell, Your Grace–"
"No I need a definitive answer, will he live or not?"
"We can only hope he wakes up by the morning."
The smell of sea hung heavy in the air as the waves lapped against the bloodied remnants of the battle. Ships lay shattered, their masts jutting out like broken bones. The cries of wounded sailors mixed with the distant roar of dragons circling above.
In Dragonstone, Jace stirred faintly, the sharp pain in his side pulling him back to consciousness. His vision blurred, but he could not make out the concerned faces of the people that surrounded him.
"Jacaerys," Rhaenyra sighed out of relief, tears coming to her eyes. "You're alive."
Jace's lips parted, but no words came out. The battle had been harder than expected— the Greens were ever so ready to take them down. Pain greeted him like an old friend, immediately he lets out a cry of agony. Rhaenyra panicked, calling for the maester to help her son.
