I couldn't remember the last time I'd been this bored. Nick had been busy nonstop lately, and I'd been stuck at home, doing design work, trying to keep myself busy. But today, I decided to drag him out of his cave—aka his penthouse—and get him to come to the gym with me. He wasn't thrilled about it at first, but after some convincing, I finally got him to come along.

Now, here we were, halfway through our workout, both sweating, laughing, and having way more fun than either of us expected.

"Okay, I think I'm going to die," Nick groaned, taking a swig from his water bottle as he wiped his forehead with his towel.

I smirked, pushing myself harder on the treadmill. "You're just out of shape, baby. Try keeping up with me."

He shot me a playful glare and rolled his eyes, his lips curling into that signature cocky grin of his. He stood a little too close, and as he gestured with his water bottle, I felt a bit of it splash onto my workout shirt.

"Oh, you bitch" I groaned, laughing as I wiped my shirt off. "You had one job, Nick."

He looked at me up and down. "You'll live"

"Fuck you"

"Right now baby seriously" and it had the audacity to smirk

I rolled my eyes, ready to retort, but then—of course—karma hit. As I moved to take a sip from my own water bottle, I somehow managed to spill a little of it all over him.

Nick's eyes widened dramatically. "You did not just do that," he said, looking down at his drenched shirt. He glanced up at me, his lips twitching with a smile.

I couldn't hold back a laugh. "Oh, now we're even." I gestured to my own shirt, now sporting an unfortunate water stain. "Look at me, Nick. I'm ruined too."

He stepped closer, inspecting my drenched clothes with exaggerated concern. His fingers brushed against the water on my shirt, and I thought for a moment he was actually going to apologize. Instead, he grinned and tilted his head, his expression mischievous.

"Well," he said, his voice suddenly low and teasing. "If we're both ruined, we might as well make the best of it."

Before I could react, he cupped my face, pulling me toward him. His lips crashed into mine in a kiss that was all passion and fire, one that left me breathless when he pulled away.

I blinked, still a little dazed. "Seriously? You always do that. How am I supposed to stay mad at you when you kiss me like that?"

Nick smirked, his eyes glinting with amusement. "I don't know, Angel. You make it hard to resist."

I pushed him lightly, laughing. "You're a dick."

"Yeah, but you love me," he shot back, his grin widening.

"Only because I can't help myself," I muttered under my breath, but I knew he heard me.

I stood there for a second, shaking my head at the ridiculousness of it all. But honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. Nick had this way of turning every little mishap into something memorable, and I wouldn't change a thing.
