I decided to keep quiet for the remainder of the journey to my Biology class. I don't know who hurt this guy but they must have done something bad. I kept short distance from him, not knowing what would make him tick.

It took about a minute of listening to the awkward sound of my footsteps before finally arriving at the classroom. The door was closed and was a murky brown colour with a sign that read 'Mrs Blair's Biology Class'. The cursive writing was surrounded with quirky sciency pictures that seemed a bit too middle schoolish.

The rude guy - who's name I realised I did not know - opened the door and entered the classroom, the door slamming in my face just as I was about to follow suit.

Geez, whatever happened to southern manners?

I took a deep breath, trying to contain my anger before going into the classroom. All heads - excluding the teacher's and the rude guy, whose attitude seemed to have completely transformed as he sat at his desk, seemingly flirting with a blonde girl beside him - turned to me.

The teacher - Mrs Blair - was too engrossed in whatever she was saying to notice me, so I awkwardly stood there until she did.

"Hi, who are you?" The young woman inquisitively asked.

She had big blue eyes which where framed by glasses and dark brown hair - almost black - came forward into a bang that covered most of her forehead.

"I'm Davina, I'm new here?" I stated but it came out as a question.

After a second or two, realisation flooded her face.

"Oh, the new girl!" She cried, gesturing for me to come over to the front of the class.

Ugh I hated that term. Though it's something that I should get used to.

"Class, this is Davina, she's the new girl and I expect you to make her feel welcome." She announced using the most patronising tone that I'd ever heard.

Most of the class rolled their eyes at the teacher's request. The rude guy snickered.

"Okay, you can take any free seat available." Mrs Blair said, and then immediately began teaching again.

Thank God!

I made my way to the only available seat that wasn't at the front and that was in the middle of the classroom. I silently sat there, my eyes occasionally flittering to over to the now seemingly happy rude guy. I was completely bewildered as to what happened before.

"Wow, that was embarrassing!" A voice came from beside me.

When I turned to my right side, a light-skinned girl with long, black hair looked at me sparkling brown eyes.

I grimaced. "Yeah."

"I'm Maia." She smiled.

I smiled back at her. "Davina."

"So I guess you've been acquainted with the one and only Wyatt Stevens." She must have noted my confusion because she continued. "You know, tall blonde hair, smouldering green eyes. The guy sitting about three tables away from you with his arm around the pretty blonde girl." She said with an amused glint in her eyes.

When I realised who she was talking about I again visibly grimaced. She laughed.

"Yeah, he's a hottie but he can be a dick sometimes."
