Tim looped his arm around Lucy's waist as he helped her stumble to the car. Her movements felt alienated, like the slightest physical exertion was extremely hard for her to do. Her tiny steps felt like running a marathon and she didn't think she could feel her toes. Or her elbows. Or her ears. Still she tried to remain calm and the slightest bit independent, but Tim was making it very hard to do so.

He had absolutely flipped out when she told him that she had been drugged, rightfully so, but still his reaction had fully shocked her. He had gone feral.

He'd practically carried her into his truck, held her hand the drive home, and begged her to tell him exactly which one drugged her, so that he could send the full weight of the LAPD to get them.

Lucy wouldn't give them up. She had been given too good of an opportunity, they had practically told her about the crimes they were planning to commit, laid it all out for the most perfect UC op, and INVITED them to join. This operation would be the clean cut op of her dreams, and put her on the radar for detective no doubt about it. If one of the men got arrested for drugging her, then it would out Sava as a "snitch," She would loose her invitation, and flush the opportunity down the drain. She was not willing to do that.

She would be able to explain all this to Tim once he had calmed the fuck down, and the effects of this mystery roofie had worn off. "Molly," Lucy said, her voice very loopy and distorted. She hoped the communication would work, and he would understand she was saying what she had been drugged with. Tim nodded in understanding.

She was grateful that Tim knew better than to take her to a hospital. 9 times out of 10 drugged drinks are light sedatives, but in the case of these men it was more likely to be something like molly. They were probably trying to get her high and turned on so that they could take advantage of her, they had not been expecting her to call Tim. Well, Jake. Jake Butler was held highly amongst low lifes, and his jobs and reputation would not do well make him an enemy. Drugging her with something more powerful would do exactly that.

That was how she knew there was a 99% chance that it was ecstasy.

Tim had seemed to follow her logic on his own.

That was in addition to the fact that one of the men probably had eyes on them, and Sava would no doubt be used to taking drugs. Jake would never take Sava to the hospital from a high. She had to go home.

Unlike Sava, Lucy had only done drugs one other time in her life.

Well, been drugged.

It had gone a little something like this was going now, and it definitely did not bring back any fun memories. The last time she had been drugged it had been some sort of roofie. It had knocked her unconscious for a while but she had came to not to long later. Sure, it was to a needle tattooing her skin, and a sadistic serial killer being her captor, but at least she had been unconscious for a while.

Perhaps there had been a slight mercy to not knowing what he had done to her in those hours.

Now, she was awake, and even though she was being taken care of by Tim, it still pulled out the fight or flight response she had though she stowed away after Caleb.

"We need to call this in," Tim said, but his words sounded like they were under water to her. He was essentially carrying her from his truck to his front door. He held her up with one strong arm as he unlocked the door. Lucy struggled to let out a little murmur of agreement.

When Tim and Lucy got inside Kojo came running up, barking and jumping and excited to see his Mom, but he stopped short as if he would sense the state that she was in. He let out a low growl, not at either of them exactly, but more so that he did not approve of the situation.

Lucy's vision blurred and the room looked like a kaleidoscope of colors and shapes she had never seen before. Her mouth dropped open in a o shape as she looked down at the dog, "Hi baby," she whispered, her voice much higher than she was used to. She turned her head to look up at Tim and see if he had registered it. He nodded.

She was grateful in this moment that she had Tim had such a good connection that they could almost read each others minds. She was able to communicate with him in her inebriated state, and it made her love him even more than she already did. "Thanks," she slurred out, her hand wrapping around his bicep.

Tim stiffened at the touch, like he didn't know what to do in the moment. His jaw was tight and he looked like every thought he had ever had was running through his head at overtime to get some sort of plan in motion. "I'm going to call Angela," he said, scooping her up just slightly and helping her to the bedroom.

The world felt very slow as Tim deposited her on the bed gently, hoping that she would stay seated. She didn't. Instead she fell back dramatically, with a laugh, as Tim went to the closet to grab her something to change into.

He clenched his jaw as a pit settled in his stomach, the woman he loved was on drugs because of an undercover assignment. He knew that the situations were different, and Lucy wasn't taking them voluntarily, but it still hurt him to see the resemblance.

Isabel.
