*~*Tony's POV*~*

It's been the same for the past few weeks.

She wakes up, eats, goes to work, comes home, cries, eats, showers, sleeps. Today, I want to change that. I was going to take her out of the house for dinner. She didn't have work today, so she was just sleeping. I decided to call Jaime.

He picked up on the third ring. "Is there a reason you are interrupting my quality time with Vicky?" I hear Vicky, Jaime's girlfriend, laugh in the background.

"Tell turtle I said hi." She yells in the background.

"Vicky says hi. Did you know, she made it to Master Sergeant, and I get the honors of punching her arm." I chuckle. "Anyways, what did you need?"

"Help. Kai isn't the same. She doesn't talk to me. Honestly, I'm scared."

*~*Kai's POV*~*

I slink down the stairs, to find Tone on the phone.

"Help. Kai isn't the same. She doesn't talk to me. Honestly, I'm scared." I feel a pang in my chest. I'm making him scared. I'm doing this. I collapse. He turns around, and surprises me with a smile.

"Actually, there is progress. She's right in front of me... No, not the bedroom. The living room. And she's off work. Ima call you back." He hangs up the phone, and walks towards me, carefully.

"I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry." I whimper. "Mo ghaol ort! Mo ghaol ort! Mo ghaol ort!" I cry, running into his arms, after picking myself up.

All we do is just embrace. I feel myself calm down, and stop feeling the pang of guilt. It wasn't like I was numb. I just stopped feeling the bad things. I was happy for that. I pull back, and notice that his eyes were red and puffy.

"Wanna go out tonight?"

"In Scotland's November? Sure... Let me get my parka and snowmobile." I joke. "But seriously, where?"

"Umm... Out to eat, maybe? Or we could eat here, and walk around." He offers.

"Let's eat out. The only place I've been outside of the house is the hospital, so, let's eat out." He nods and kisses me, before I skip up the stairs to get dressed.

He enters the room, just as I got out of the shower. I was trying to zip up my dress, and he noticed the struggle. Tone walks over, and zips the dress up.

"Thank you, Love." I say.

"No problem. I love you." He says, kissing my neck. His scruff tickles my neck.

"AH! Stop! It tickles!"

"Oh it tickles?" He taunts, and continues to tickle me with his scruff. I manage to push him off.

"Can you just shower, please?" He nods, and skips off to the bathroom with some clothes in hand. I continue getting ready(SEL). I put my heels on, as Tone walks out of the bathroom. Luna walks in the room, and jumps on the bed. I walk over to her, and scratch her neck. She lolls her tongue out, and leans on her side.

"You like that, don't you?" I ask in my baby voice. She leans on her back in response, making me scratch her tummy instead. I laugh, and continue scratching Luna's tummy until Tone comes out of the shower, ready to go.

"Let's go!" I say, skipping down the stairs, grabbing his coat.

"Bye, Luna!" I say, running downstairs with my coat as well. I stop at the door, pausing to put my coat on. Tony grabs my hand, interlocking our fingers.

"So... where would you like to go?" He asks me.

"Um... I don't know, actually. There has to be some place open, if not, let's just walk in the park after picking something up." I offer, as we get in the car.

"So, play it by ear?"

"Yup." I confirm.

We ended up having to pick up some fish and chips, and eating in the warmth of the car heater. Afterwards, we went around a small park by my house. Tony stops me with a question.

"I have a question." He says quietly

"Fire away, my turtle."

"Well, I was thinking..." I pulls me in front of him before he continues.

*~*Tony's POV*~*

"Fire away, my turtle." She responds. This was the perfect time to ask. Right here, in the park.

"Well, I was thinking..." I pause to pull her in front of me. I got down onto one knee. Here it goes. I take a deep breath, as she gives me a, what-are-you-doing?!  look. "Kai Elizabeth Tyre-Gillan, or however you want your last name to be pronounced at this point. Please, Kai, would you put Perry at the end of your name?" I take the ring from my back pocket and hold it out in front of her. There's a family and a few couples walking by us, as it was only like, 7 at night.

"Oh my God! How long were you planning this?!" Is all she can say... well, shriek.

"That Halloween, I was going to ask, but you know how that night was. Then you felt better, so I thought, 'Why not tonight?'" She looks at me, with tears in her eyes... I hope they're happy tears. "So, Kai, will you marry me?" I ask again, more straightforward.

"YES!" She yells. I stand up straight, and hug her. Kai Elizabeth Tyre Perry... well... she wasn't latina, so it would probably be Kai Elizabeth Perry, but all the same, we would be together. I let myself smile, with my eyes closed, relieved that she said yes. I hear claps and cheers coming from the small crowd that gathered.

When Kai and I broke apart, she looked at me with a certain glow in her eyes, that I just wanted to keep forever.

"How about, we go home now, and enjoy the night?" She asks.

"I would like that." I chuckle.

*~*Kai's POV*~*

I was laying there, with Tony, still amazed that I was engaged to such a wonderful man. I was curled up in his chest, listening to his heartbeat, when he spoke.

"Kai... What do you think about San Diego?" He asks.

"I don't really know, I've never been."

"Well, considering that we're engaged... Maybe you could move in with me?" I look him in the eye, smiling wide.

"I would love that. I would love anything at this point. So many things are coming together, and I just love it." He smiles at me before speaking again.

"So... This is what it's like to be happy. I have a dog, and a fiancé..." I chuckle at his thought.

I hear the door unlock, and James yells from downstairs.

"KAI! I NEED TO STAY HERE! IT'S THE USUAL!" He says. I sit up a little before yelling.

"YEAH, JUST SLEEP IN THE GUEST ROOM!" Tony flinches at my strong voice, laced with the Scottish fire.

"IMMA COME UP!"

"NO YOU DON'T WANT TO GO IN MY ROOM!" It was too late. He opened the door, and saw Tony and I in bed, only a blanket covering our bodies. James' eyes grow wide.

"Okay then... I'm just going to... Um..." He stutters, tripping over himself, backing up in the hallway, closing my bedroom door. I laugh to myself, looking towards Tone.

"We does he come by here like that?" He asks me.

"Well, his mom is very religious, and disowned her own son. James still is allowed to stay in the house, but his mom gets really mad at him for the stupidest things. So, he comes by and stays however long before it's safe enough to be around his mother." I explain. "I mean, since you and I are going to live back in San Diego... I just might give James the house. He needs it."

"That's good that you and James are like siblings." Tone says.

"Yeah, we even fall out sometimes." I scoff. "All jokes aside, I'm glad that we met."

Tone let's out a yawn, before pulling me back to him. It felt nice to sleep in that following morning.
