Chapter 4: Don't scream

"She's your what?" Brandon asked

"She. Is. My. Twin. Sister." I said slowly while emphasising every word.

"I know what you said." He glared. His facial expression was so funny I busted out laughing.

"What's so funny?" Tina asked. All I could do was point at Brandon.

Brandon had huge eyes and were looking between me and Tina. Tina broke down laughing as well. We hugged each other trying to compose ourselves.

"What is going on, Mom?" Brandon complained.

"We ran into an imporantant person today." Brenda smiled.

"We sure did." I told Brandon smiling at Tina.

Tina and I walked up to my room with bags dangling from our arms. Brandon looked at us with utter shock. I smiled the whole way to my room.

"So. Who's the hotty?" Tina asked suddenly.

"My boyfriend." Was all I had to say for her to make a face of shock.

"Why would you date him if you live with him?" She asked wondering if I was adopted into that family.

"We were dating before the incident. It was because we were dating that his mm on and dad let me live here. They aren't my legal guardians but I love them like family." I said blushing.

"Wow. That's the most sweetest thing I could ever hear. Even though they don't have to take care of you they do it anyways. That is adorable." Tina explained.

"Thank you." I told her.

Tina was the best. She acted like we have known each other for years. J couldn't ask for anything more. We went through the clothes and put them away.

"How far away do you live?" I asked curiously.

"I just moved here a couple of weeks ago. Victoria already lived here but our moms have been friend since forever. So we always hung out." She explained.

"I always moved from city to city. Cleaning the house, making meals, and going to school. If I ever failed to do a task I was beaten. I hated it. They would do whatever it tool to make my life miserable. They almost won. But they didn't not if I have anything to say about it." I said now realizing that I'm shaking. Tina wrapped her arms around me into a big hug. I cried into her shoulder.

Once I was finally calm and collected I wiped the tears from my cheeks and calmed down. Tina hugged me one more time. We let go of each other and got up to go to the kitchen. We grabbed a tub of chocolate chip cookie dough and two spoons. We hurried back up to my room and eat ice cream and talked. We talked for an hour before the ice cream was gone.

A loud knock disturbed our conversation. I looked at the door. "Who is it?" I asked.

"The one and only." Brandon said.

I rolled my eyes. "Come in Brandon." I said emphasizing each silable.

He laughed and walked in. A smile tugged at my lips.

"Yes, your annoyingness?" I asked mockingly.

"Just wondering where the ice cream went." He said eyeing the bed.

"What ice cream?" I asked innocently.

"The chocolate chip cookie dougj ice cream. The one that happened to be your favorite?" He asked questionably.

"Oh. That one. Nope don't know what happened to it." I lied.

"Why do I have the feeling you are lying?" He asked me with a smile on his face.
