3rd person;
Light poured through the windows, signalling that it was morning. She was in a small, circular room with stone brick walls, a bed and several other wooden furniture pieces. Atop a bedside table lay a lamp, as well as some medicines.
The girl slowly woke up, and she saw a curious face right up close. As an immediate reaction, she punched it, hard.
"Ouch!!"Yelled the man as her had flew to her mouth.
She blinked as she studied him carefully. He wore a white lab coat, buttoned up, some thick, grey rubber gloves, black boots and some large rimmed goggles. His hair was a pale-golden blonde, his skin was pale and his eyes were a beautiful dark green.
"Ah, I'm really sorry!"She inwardly cursed. She hated this personality, but it was the most effective."I was a little quick to react..."She twiddled her thumbs and let her hair fall in front of her face.
As she expected, he blushed and frantically waved his hands to say no."It's fine! I'm used to it!"She hid her smirk.
She gave him a smile, though it was fake."Thank you for taking care of me."She sat up, and bowed towards him.
"No, it's really okay! Um, are you the girl who Ridge was talking about?"
She stiffened, but she tried to make it unnoticeable."I would expect so..."
"So... My name's Duncan Lalna Lividcoffee, but you can just call me Duncan. What's yours?"He asked awkwardly as he scratched his head.
She smiled another fake smile, one that would look innocent."My name is Serenity... But you can call me Reni!"She grinned, mostly at the irony of her name. She was tricksy, sometimes violent. Anything but serene.
"Hello Reni."Duncan greeted."Would you like some breakfast?"
She gave a closed eye smile."That would be lovely, thank you, Duncan."
Serenity;
I'm pretty sure I have him fooled. The punch was a trip up, for sure. But really, how can I control instinct? There's something off about him though, maybe it's his eyes. They're so deep and beautiful, and I think I see a glint of madness in them. I know exactly where I am, I've seen this place before. But only briefly. Duncan seems ever so gullible, I might be able to trust him...
Who am I kidding, I can't trust anyone. I'll just keep up this 'innocent girl' personality and then achieve my goal.
My goal? To gain the trust of everyone in Tekkitopia. It would be hard, but I believe it's possible.
I walk down the spiral stairs to a kitchen, and I see Lalna frying some bacon and eggs, humming as he does so. I smell the lovely scent of cooking food as I sit at the table. Duncan gave me two slices of toast, all with eggs and bacon inside it. I flash another-fake-grateful smile in Duncan direction as he brings out some amber liquid, was it alcohol?
"It's moonshine, I brewed it myself!"He exclaimed happily as he started to cough a little."It's very strong stuff."
I fight the urge to lift an eyebrow at him and nibble at my toast. And sneakily, when he wasn't looking, I threw the rest of the food in the bin next to me.
"Thank you Duncan,"I start coolly."It was delicious."
He smiles slightly."You don't have to be so formal!"He laughs."It's just some eggs and bacon!"
He gives me a tour of his castle, though I already know most of it. He takes me to the last room, the cellar. After explaining in detail not to touch the brews, he asks:
"This isn't the real you, isn't it?"
"W-What? I don't know what-"
"Reni."He cut me off."I can tell if people are acting naturally. Just be yourself, I won't judge you. But Reni, you're just like glass. I saw right through."
How did he find out?! Well, now he knows I guess I have no choice.
"Fine. I was getting sick of being that fluffy, innocent girl anyway."I cross my arms, rolling my eyes as the smirk leaves his face.
"Reni?"
"What?"I reply, a little harshly.
"Would you like to stay with me? I have too many spare rooms anyway..."
"W-Wha-Really?"I stutter, usually when people find out my true attitude, they despise me...
He smiled heartily."Aww, Reni, you're so cute!"
I blush profusely."No I am not!"I retorted.
I can conceal my feelings if I'm in one of my personalities, but when I'm my own person... I lose control of my feelings, I guess.
"I have a feeling you've been alone all your life, Reni."
I look at him, shock on my features. How did he know?
"Thought so."He wrote something down on a notepad.
DAMN IT! THIS RANDOM DUDE'S FIGURING OUT MY PAST WITHOUT MY CONSENT!
He must've seen the angry look on my face because he hugged me. He's super tall, and I'm only like... 5'1 so really, I didn't want to hug him back. The blush spread to me ears.
"F*ck you..."I mumbled as Lalna locked us in tight embrace.
