Regulus stood at his balcony doors, looking out over the kingdom's town square and out onto the water. Regulus had to maintain his formal appearance even when he went outside of the castle, which was rare enough as it is, and it was suffocating him.

Regulus longed for a day where he'd be able to simply walk out the doors, through the kingdom and take the first boat out to sea. Regulus could sit there for hours and watch the ships come back and forth from their trading docks, Regulus loved the freedom you could see take over when the wind hit the sails and they left the port.

Regulus looked back at his room, he couldn't complain. Regulus had the most luxurious lifestyle anyone could ask for but, whichever bastard made up the saying "money can't buy happiness" (Regulus winced as he heard his brother and mother begin to argue once more) turned out to be right.

Regulus got dressed into his normal uniform and headed through the halls to the library, passing the kitchens where one of the servants waved politely at him, nice enough but not too kindly as to show he thought they were of equal status. Regulus hated that feeling, knowing everyone felt they needed to be silent around him. Regulus waved back and two other servants almost looked shocked.

Regulus got to the library and pulled open the large curtains, swinging the doors open and letting the sunlight flood into the room and add illumination to all the gold and silver engravings around the castle walls. The stain glass windows placed on the other side of the room, depicting different images, now covered the floor with an array of colours as Regulus took in a deep breath and allowed the ocean breeze to take over his senses.

Regulus had settled down onto one of the seats and picked out a new book to read, one of the servants bringing him his usual hot drink. Regulus had just gotten himself comfortable and onto an exciting chapter when he heard the kingdom's sirens go off and a commotion beginning to pour out from the bay.

Regulus got out of his seat and walked quickly out of the glass doors, leaning over the stone balcony railing to see what was going on.

"A pirate ship?"

~
James stood on the side of his ship as it sailed through the water, this was the life for him, no restrictions, no being in one place for his whole life, travelling where he pleased and making it his mission to prove that the phrase "that's impossible" was in fact, impossible.

Of course James didn't get through this life by being an angel or in a way his mother would've approved off, there was a bit of "borrowing" here and there, some white lies that needed to be told and of course a bit of...self defence and combat were necessary.

James looked back at his crew with a grin, he couldn't have asked for better though, for what he may have lacked in upscale morality and dignity, he made sure to make up for in his "Robin Hood" appearance to the common folk. Royalty and nobles hated James, but that just made it all the more fun for him.

They were just about to change courses when one of the crew members pointed out land, James jumped back down and went into his cabin, they hadn't ventured this far out East before so it was something new for them to explore.
