E/c eyes looked down as the owner of said orbs sat on the side of the play ground, avoided by the other kids around her.
The girl Lucienne had met at her dad's shop. A smile creeping onto her face as she ran towards where the lonely girl sat.
"It's you!"
Y/n looked up at me for a minute, eyebrows rising in realisation.
"You're Lucienne, right?" I smiled, she remembers my name.
I extend my hand, just as papa greets some of his friends at work.
"Yeah. What's your name?"
She stood up, dusting off her pink dress. Looking at my hand then at me before her fingers intertwined with mine.
"Y/n."
I can tell, we were gonna be the best of friends.

"Come on, I got you ." Y/n held onto Luciennes arms as they ended through the water, going to the more deeper side.
"This is so cool, Lucy." Y/n smiled. Her legs slowly kicked to keep her afloat while a scaly cerulean tail extended past her height, belonging to Lucienne.
Lucienne giggled, her tail swishing underneath. "I heard there's more like me who can do stuff cooker than this."
Y/n's eyes widened in wonderment before she let out a scared squeal when a large wave had hit the two of them.
Eyes open beneath the salty water, the two looked at each other before looking at the glowing flowers they had grown up around in their island. Instead of the usual blue they glowed into a light blue with a bright marigold.
Reaching down, Y/n plucked out one of them that were stuck in the small rocks, covered by the sand.
Worried for how long they were beneath the water, Lucienne swam up.
Once they had reached shore, the sun had already begun to set. The flower in Y/n's hand still glowing hrightly.
"Lemme see!" Lucienne's tail had gone back into the form of her legs, her dress more heavier than it felt in the sea.
The two looked over the petals, familiar yet imbued with a different light. Special.
"You have to keep it in water. I've read about it in papa's bo-
Y/n placed the flower at the corner of Lucienne's hair, securing it so it wouldn't fall.
"It looks prettier on you."
"No its prettier in the water where you plucked it from." A boy about their age said, a large naginata perched over his shoulder. His cheek and clothes had a blood spattered over them.
"W-Who are you?" Lucienne asked, her senses going on high alert at the sight of him.
He was silent for a moment...
"None of your business."
Y/n's gaze sharpened on him, she picked up a rock on the floor,"And who's blood is that?"
"It's ketchup."
The girl let out a relieved sigh, "Oh it's just ketchup, nevermind the-"
