The days following their late-night conversation passed in a blur, yet everything between Seungminand Jisung remained the same on the surface.

In the boardroom, they were the same cold, calculating rivals, throwing sharp words and evensharper glares at one another. To the outside world, nothing had changed. But every glance exchanged between them told a different story-a story written in secret touchesand lingering looks, in heated nights that neither could seem to quit.

Seungmin hated how easily Jisung got under his skin, how a single glance from him could send histhoughts spiraling, disrupting the careful walls he had built to keep his emotions in check. He hatedhow, even as he plotted his next business move, his mind would wander to the feel of Jisung'shands, his lips, the way his breath would hitch when they were alone.

He hated it because it made him vulnerable. And vulnerability was something Kim Seungmincouldn't afford.

A few nights later, Seungmin stood in his office, staring out at the city below. The skyline was dottedwith lights, the hum of Seoul's nightlife continuing without a care for the battles waged in thehigh-rise towers above. His phone buzzed on the desk behind him, and Seungmin didn't need tocheck the screen to know who it was.Jisung.They had perfected this routine-calls late at night, texts sent in the dead of silence, never duringwork hours, never leaving a trace. But even knowing it was a mistake, Seungmin found himself reaching for his phone.

A single message glowed on the screen.

Come over.

Seungmin stared at the message for a long moment, his heart thudding dully in his chest. Heshouldn't go. Not tonight, not when his mind was this tangled, not when he felt so close to losingcontrol.

But, of course, he went.

Jisung's penthouse was as cold and immaculate as ever, a reflection of its owner-stark, clean lines, devoid of any warmth or personal touches. The only thing out of place was Seungmin, standing inthe middle of it, waiting.Jisung appeared a moment later, his shirt sleeves rolled up, his tie loosened around his neck. Therewas an intensity in his eyes, a heat that sent a shiver down Seungmin's spine the moment theirgazes locked.

Neither of them said a word as Jisung crossed the room, closing the distance between them in a fewquick strides. His hands were on Seungmin before he could even react, pulling him close, his lipscrashing against Seungmin's in a kiss that was rough and demanding.Seungmin melted into it, his hands clutching at Jisung's shirt as though it were the only thingkeeping him grounded. Every time was like this-explosive, desperate, as though they couldn't getenough of each other, as though the world would collapse if they didn't have this moment.

But this time, as Jisung's hands slid under his shirt, as their bodies pressed together, Seungmin felta flicker of something else-something beyond the heat and need that always consumed them.Jisung pulled back just enough to look into Seungmin's eyes, his breath ragged, his voice low andrough. "You've been distant," he muttered, his fingers still gripping Seungmin's hips tightly. "What'sgoing on?"

Seungmin's heart stuttered. He wasn't used to this-Jisung questioning him, the hint of concern in hisvoice. Their relationship wasn't supposed to be about feelings or conversations. It was supposed tobe simple.

But nothing about this was simple anymore.

"I'm not distant," Seungmin replied, his voice steadier than he felt. He tried to look away, butJisung's hand slid up to cup his jaw, forcing him to meet his gaze."Don't lie to me, Seungmin," Jisung murmured, his thumb brushing against Seungmin's lips. "Ifyou're second-guessing this, just say it."

For a brief moment, Seungmin considered it. He considered ending it right here, walking awaybefore this went any deeper, before the lines between them blurred completely. But the wordswouldn't come.Instead, he leaned forward, closing the gap between them again, kissing Jisung with an intensitythat surprised even him. Jisung responded immediately, pulling him closer, their bodies colliding in atangle of heat and tension.

Seungmin's thoughts blurred, the pressure of Jisung's touch drowning out everything else. The onlything he knew, the only thing he felt, was Jisung. His rival. His mistake. The one person he couldn'tseem to let go of, no matter how dangerous it was.

As they fell into bed, their limbs entwined, Seungmin pushed away the doubts that gnawed at theedges of his mind. Tonight, at least, he could forget.

But even as he lost himself in Jisung's arms, a small voice in the back of his mind whispered that itwouldn't be long before everything came crashing down. And when it did, there would be no goingback.
