The tension in Jisung’s office was palpable. Seungmin’s heart pounded as he weighed Jisung’s words. For so long, they had drawn clear lines between them, ensuring their relationship—if it could even be called that—stayed in the shadows. Crossing those lines now felt both terrifying and exhilarating.

“Let’s say we do this,” Seungmin began cautiously. “What happens when things go wrong? Because they will.”

Jisung’s gaze never wavered. “Then we deal with it. Together.”

The simplicity of the statement caught Seungmin off guard. Jisung had never been one for elaborate promises or declarations. His confidence was what made him so infuriating—and yet, it was also what made him so compelling.

Seungmin sighed, running a hand through his hair. “You’re impossible.”

“And you’re stubborn,” Jisung countered with a smirk, stepping closer. “But we make it work.”

Seungmin didn’t respond, his mind still racing. He felt Jisung’s hand brush against his, tentative yet deliberate. It was such a small gesture, but it sent a wave of warmth through him.

“We don’t have to decide everything right now,” Jisung said softly. “But I’m not letting you go, Seungmin. Not anymore.”

---

That night, Seungmin returned to his apartment feeling strangely lighter. The conversation with Jisung replayed in his mind, his words carrying a weight that Seungmin couldn’t ignore.

For the first time in weeks, he slept without tossing and turning, his dreams free of the usual chaos.

---

The next morning, Seungmin was greeted with a surprise. When he arrived at his office, a sleek black box sat on his desk, wrapped with a silver ribbon.

“What is this?” he murmured, picking up the attached note.

“For your next meeting—Jisung.”

Curious, Seungmin untied the ribbon and opened the box. Inside was a tailored suit, the fabric so fine it practically shimmered under the light.

Seungmin frowned, his irritation bubbling to the surface. How dare Jisung send him something so extravagant, as if he could be bought?

He grabbed his phone and called Jisung, not bothering to hide his annoyance.

“What is this?” he demanded the moment Jisung picked up.

“A gift,” Jisung replied smoothly. “You’re meeting with investors tomorrow, aren’t you? Consider it an upgrade to your wardrobe.”

“I don’t need your charity,” Seungmin snapped.

“It’s not charity. It’s an investment,” Jisung said, his tone calm but firm. “You represent Kim Corporation, and whether you like it or not, you represent me too. Wear it.”

Seungmin gritted his teeth. “You’re unbelievable.”

“And you’re predictable,” Jisung said, his voice laced with amusement. “Just accept the suit, Seungmin. It’ll look good on you.”

Seungmin hung up without another word, but he couldn’t stop the faint blush that crept up his neck.

---

The next day, Seungmin reluctantly wore the suit to his meeting. As much as he hated to admit it, Jisung had impeccable taste. The fabric fit him perfectly, exuding an air of power and sophistication that even he couldn’t deny.

When the meeting ended, Seungmin’s assistant informed him of an unexpected visitor waiting in the lobby.

“Who is it?” Seungmin asked, adjusting his tie.

“Mr. Han,” she replied, her tone careful.

Seungmin’s heart skipped a beat, but he quickly masked his surprise. “Send him up.”

Moments later, Jisung entered his office, looking as effortlessly confident as ever.

“I see the suit fits,” Jisung said, his eyes sweeping over Seungmin.

Seungmin crossed his arms, leaning against his desk. “You could’ve called instead of showing up unannounced.”

“Where’s the fun in that?” Jisung quipped, stepping closer. “Besides, I wanted to see you.”

“Why?” Seungmin asked, his voice quieter than intended.

Jisung’s smirk softened into something almost tender. “Because I can’t stop thinking about you. And because I don’t want to keep hiding.”

Seungmin’s breath hitched. The sincerity in Jisung’s eyes was disarming, chipping away at the walls he’d spent years building.

“Jisung…” he began, but the words caught in his throat.

“Just say yes, Seungmin,” Jisung said, his voice barely above a whisper. “Say we’ll try.”

For a long moment, Seungmin said nothing. Then, finally, he nodded.

“Yes.”

Jisung’s smile was brighter than Seungmin had ever seen, and for the first time in years, he felt like maybe, just maybe, he could let himself be happy.
