"Jasmine!" I woke up to the sound of Beth yelling my name. I hopped up and saw her standing by my door. I rubbed my eyes, waking up. "Yeah?" I mumble. "Get up. Jessica saw someone walking around the school." She tells me. I sigh. "Alright, give me a minute to get dressed. Have someone keep an eye on her till then." She nods and leaves, shutting the door. I get up and head towards my dresser. I throw on some black jeans and a purple t-shirt. I grab my purple Beanie and set it on my head. I head to my bed and pull out my gun. 9mm and I love it. It had been my dads. When they died I took something from each of them, for sentimental values. I had zachs Stitch pillow pet, Joshuas toy gun, rachels snow globe, hannahs bracelet, my dads gun, and my moms old t-shirt that she loved. I have another brother but, I want nothing to remember him by. It was a long story. I load my gun, and head out the door, grabbing my leather jacket.

"So what should we do?" Asks Harley. A guy, around our age it looked, was walking around the football field as we stood by the window, watching him. "He looks healthy." Conrad states. Jessica looks at him. "We're like, 200 feet away, we can hardly see him. How would you be able to tell?" She questions. Conrad looks down sheepishly, "uh i-i don't know." He's the only guy here and I know he wants another one around. I was about to defend him when Taylor speaks up, "We'll just approach slowly, go closer and closer. If he's got the virus, we'll shoot him. If not, we'll question him on what he's doing here." See? Taylor is just a natural leader. She looks at us, silently asking if any of us disagree with the plan. We all nod our heads, giving agreement.

"Taylor" I whisper. Me, Taylor, and Conrad are hiding behind the bleachers, watching him. Jessica, Beth, and Harley are spread out around the feild, waiting for our signal. "Yeah, jazz?" She asks. I look back at her. "He's not infected." I whisper back. She nods her head and then gives the other three the signal to approach him, weapons aimed. We walk out, weapons pointed at him. He's still turned around and doesn't notice us. When we're closer, Taylor speaks up. "Who are you?" The guy jumps and turns quickly. Ha he probably has whiplash now. He holds his hands up in fear, not speaking. "You heard her, who are you?" I say roughly. Gotta have Tays back. "Uh i- I'm B-Blaise." He stutters. "And why are you here?" Questions Taylor. He looks down nervously and speaks. "Me and my sister, Sky, our shelter was overrun and- and we need a place to stay." I look at Taylor and she's in deep thought. "Harley, watch him." She says and signals for us to follow her. We get about 20 feet away when she stops us. "What do you guys think?" She asks us. We all shrug except Conrad. He bursts out, "CAN WE KEEP HIM?! CAN WE KEEP HIM?! PLEASEEEE HES SO ADORABLE!" He shouts. "Conrad. Shut up." I demand. Beth laughs and speaks up. "I think it'd be okay." She tells Taylor. "Yeah, we have plenty of supplies and we could all use an extra hand." Jessica agrees. Taylor sighs. "Okay, ill go ask harls what she thinks." She walks to harley and speaks to her for a minute. They both hod and Taylor waves us over. We look at him and Taylor speaks up. "You can stay."
