I woke up to a voice whispering my name. "Jasmine....jasmine." I hear. My eyes open slowly and it takes a second for them to adjust. I'm sitting on a stone floor, moss covering the stone walls. My hands are chained up against the wall and had cut through my skin. The rust making my cuts burn. Ahead of me, there was a door and next to it was a small lamp, giving off a dim hue of light. "Jasmine." I hear again. I look for where its coming from. In a dark corner, sits Harley. Shes slumped against the wall, her eyes piercing through me. "Harley!" I exclaim. I found her! "We've been looking for you everywhere!" I gush, worry in my voice. She looks at me sadly. "Jasmine, this Guy is crazy." She says solemnly. I look at her in confusion when suddenly the door bangs open. The man walks in, his tattered and dirty. His fave was covered in dirt and he had blood on his hands. I watch him intently as he steps towards Harley. "Who the fuck are you?!" I scream in anger, struggling against the chains. I flinch as my wrists begin to burn from the movement. Harley looks at me, fear in her eyes. "No, jasmine, don't." She whispers. I look at her, confusion covering my face. The man ignores both of us and kneels in front of Harley. He slowly brings his hand to her face. He smiles, almost twistedly, and caresses her cheek. "Don't fucking touch her!" I shout. Harley flinches from the mans hand and his smile drops, quickly turning to one of anger. He raises his hand and strikes her against the cheek. Harleys face swings to the side, staying there. "You bastard!" I scream, pulling from the wall but, going no where. "Ill kill you!" I shout. I struggle with the chains in anger and the man begins yelling at Harley. "You will respect me!" He screams, his face becoming red. Harley nods her head in fear. The mans expression changes to one of compassion and he looks down in sadness. "I'm sorry, you know I hate when you do that." He whispers. I stare at him, deciding that he's a complete nut case. He stands and rushes to the door, muttering something about food for us. The door slams as he closes it. I look at Harley, a hundred questions in my head. She sighs and begins speaking. "He...he thinks I'm his daughter. I guess, when she got infected, he went crazy. He refuses to believe I'm not her." She whispers, fear laced in her voice. I shake my head and look at her, determination in my gaze. "We'll get out of here soon," I tell her. "The others are coming, they know I'm here." I say, my voice shaking. Harley looks at me, doubt in her eyes. "Can they defeat a crazy man that would do anything for his daughter? Which he thinks I am." She asks, sadness in her quiet voice. "If be thinks you're his daughter, why are you chained up too?" I wonder, disbelief in my eyes. Harleys gaze turns to the door, fearing the mans return. "I tried getting away, so he put me here." She explains. "We'll get out." I tell her. The door opens again and the man walks in, food in his hand. He sets a tray in front of Harley timidly and looks to me. He shuffles to me and sits in front of me. My gaze turns to Harley and I see her shaking her head furiously, telling me to go with it. "H-Hi." The man whispers. This guy kidnapped me and he has the nerve to say 'Hi' to me? "Hi." I say with sarcastic happiness in my voice. I guess he didn't take the hint because his face lights up. "I'm adam!" He says with excitement. "And thats—" he points at Harley, "my daughter, Annabelle." He says. I nod my head in fake interest, looking at Harley. "Hi Annabelle." I say, hiding my laughter with a smile. She glares at me and turns away, facing the wall. The man scoots closer, grabbing my hand. "What's your name?" He asks. I stare at him, contemplating telling him my name. "I'm jasmine." I say with hesitation in my voice. "That's a pretty name!" He gushes, "my daughter always liked that type of flower!" He looks at Harley for agreement. Harley nods quickly, "yeah, love em." She says. Adam looks back to me, "will....will you be my friend, jasmine?" He asks, his voice full of childish innocence. This guy has to be at least 40 years old, right? He has grey hairs! I nod quickly at Adam and he jumps up in joy. "I'm so glad you're my friend!" He exclaims. I nod my head, showing I agree. "You don't talk much do you?" He says curiously. Not much to say to a crazy kidnapper. I shrug my shoulders and give him a smile. "Hey, Adam?" I say sweetly. He looks at me, admiration in his eyes. "Yeah?" He asks. I look over at Harley to see she's watching us intently. "If I'm your friend, why am I chained up?" I ask, faking confusion. He laughs "because if I unchain you, you'll run away!" He says, as if its the most obvious thing in the world. Well, it kinda is. This dude is insane. "I wont.run away silly!" I laugh. "I'm you're friend! Aren't I?" I feign sadness, looking down as if deeply hurt. "No no no! You're my friend! I promise!" He yells. "Its just...tomorrow, okay? Ill unchain you tomorrow." He says, desperation in his voice. I nod my head. "I understand." I say solemnly. I should've been an actor! Adam rushes out the room, and I'm left with Harley.
