I wake up freezing my ass off. My eyes open slowly and I realize that conrad had stole all the blankets. He was wrapped up and snuggled deeply into my pillow. His mouth was slightly open and he had a peaceful look on his face. Awe he's so adorable. He's the perfect best friend. Even though he's a blanket stealer. He mumbles something in his sleep along the lines of 'honey sauce' and the 'rainbow stick'. I chuckle at his cuteness and hop up, getting ready for a shower. "Hey, ass face, get up." I say, throwing one of my stuffed animals at him. He mumbles something and turns over, still sleeping. I grab my clothes and head towards the door. "I'm going to take a shower, be up by the time I'm back." I tell him. He huffs, turning over to look at me. "But whyyyyy?" He whines. "Because its our day to hang out today." I tell him, walking out the door. When I shut the door I hear him yell, "you can suck my dick!" I laugh and yell back, "its too small!" Finally heading towards the showers.

"Do think Blaise likes me?" I hear conrad ask. We're in the gym, playing basketball. Well I am, he's sitting at the bottom of the bleachers, talking to me. I shoot the ball, landing it perfectly into the hoop. "Conrad, he's probably straight. Not every guy is bi or gay. Besides, you're bi, so why focus on the one Guy here when you're surrounded by girls?" I tell him. "There's always Sky." I continue. He sighs, "Sky is a lesbian jasmine, she had that shirt on yesterday. And I don't know, he's just so adorable." He tells me. Oh yeah, I forgot she was gay. "And, its obvious Sky has a thing for you." He says. What? "What? No way." I laugh. "Yes way." He mocks. "She kept staring at you, and she watched you practice for 4 hours! That has to mean something" he says dramatically. I shake my head. "Look, even if she does have a thing for me, I'm not interested. I'm too busy for girls. I need to stay focused on keeping you guys safe." I explain. I grab the basket ball, shooting it again but missing the hoop. I pout and grab another ball. "Okay but, remember what I always said—" I cut him off. "Yeah, yeah. 'Never reject a good fuck, unless she's a hoe, you don't want an std.'" I quote. "You lectured me for fifteen minutes after I told you a rejected a girl." I laugh. That was before the virus. I always cherish the time before the virus. I was much happier back then, and sweet and naive. Things have changed. "Exactly jasmine, never miss a good fuck. So if Sky throws it out there, catch it." He says, winking at me. I laugh "you're a dork." I say. I shoot the ball and it hits the rim but goes in. As I go to grab another ball, I'm suddenly in the air. "Conrad! Put me down!" I yell while laughing. He throws me over his shoulder. "No one gets away with calling me a dork." He laughs and starts running around the gym. I start yelling at him while laughing. After a few minutes, he sets me down and I try to regain balance. "Come on, lets head to the entertainment room and we'll binge watch movies." I tell him, smiling.

---------

After watching a few movies, we decided to head to the field and join the others. They had been out there all day with Blaise and Sky, making them practice so we could find their strengths. I changed into my camouflage skinny jeans and my ROTC t shirt. I spent my freshman year taking that class. I throw on my tan Beanie and head to Conrads room. "Come on, I'm ready to head the field." I say. He walks out and he's wearing some black jeans with a grey sleeveless shirt that has 'USA' written on it. "Lets gooooo." He says, pretending to be Peter Pan. I shake my head and we head to the field.

We are all sitting in the bleachers, watching conrad teach Blaise how to use a gun and Sky slicing through dummies. "She's hot." I hear beth say. I look at her and laugh. "That's all you have to say?" I ask. "Yeah, what else is there to say?" She retorts. I watch Sky as I speak, "she's good with a gun, but she need to practice with the blade." I say,"right now, she's sloppy with a blade. She's not aiming. she's just hacking through them, hoping for the best." I continue. Beth watches her and her eyes shows she agrees with me. "You're right. I hadn't noticed but, now I do. She isn't angling her body the correct way, which maked the force of the blade weaker." She states, nodding her head. Harley, Taylor, and Jessica stare at us. "What?" I ask. I know we're hot but damn. "We've never heard you guys talk all smart like about weapons." Jessica smirks. Beth shrugs, "we've never had anyone to teach. You all use guns, except for Harley. Sje got the whole 'badass with a crossbow' thing going on." Harley looks down, "not really." She says awkwardly. Beth flicks her on the head. "Don't argue with me." She states. Harley sticks her tongue out at her and they both laugh. I take my attention from them and watch Conrad and Blaise. Conrad is behind Blaise and has his hands on his hands on Blaises hips, putting him in the right position. Blaise has a awkward look on his blushing face. Conrad steps back and Blaise shoots the gun, missing the target completely. I see Conrad sigh. "Haven't they been working on this all morning?" I ask Taylor. "Yeah, I guess weapons just aren't his thing." She explains. I watch as Blaise trys again, continuing to miss the target. I look a Sky and see she's still doing it wrong. I hop up, "I'm going down, to see if I can help Sky out." I say. "Are you coming with me, Beth?" I ask. She shakes her head. "Nah, ill stay here and watch. You're cute when you teach." She laughs. I huff, "Lazy ass." I mutter. She chuckle, "you wish you had this lazy ass." She says. I roll my eyes. "Whatever helps you sleep at night." I tell her, with a pitying look. I laugh and head down towards Sky. "Sky!" I say. She stops and turns, facing me. Her face turns red, "When did you get here?" She asks, blushing. "About an hour ago." I say nonchalantly. "Look," I start. "You have to aim the blade. and when you turn, bring your foot out a little to whatever direction you're going. It gives you more balance and makes the force stronger." I tell her, grabbing my machete. "Watch. " I tell her. I do exactly what I told her, I put my right foot out a little, turning swiftly and slicing the the dummy standing to my right. I look at Sky and she's staring at me in amazement. I raise my eyebrow in question, "understand?" I ask. She tears her eyes from me, "um, can you do it again. I don't think I saw it all." She asks. I sigh, repeating what I did and look at her. "Good now?" I ask. She nods her head. "Alright, try a few more times and then we'll head to the main building for lunch." I tell her as I walk away.
