(MERRY CHRISTMAS! 🎄🎀)
First Year
Sirius woke up with his head on someone's chest and a hand stroking his hair. It wasn't a normal morning, but Sirius wouldn't of complained because it felt nice, except there was a slight issue.
His stomach was doing somersaults and he felt uncomfortably hot.
Especially when he looked up and was met with the prettiest amber eyes he'd ever seen.
"Morning, Black,". Remus grinned and stretched, causing the duvet to move lower on his torso. His shirt rode up slightly and Sirius looked away. Fast.
"Morning," he said, rolling over and staring up at the ceiling. Remus glanced at him.
"Your welcome to stay, the others aren't awake yet, obviously, it's still pretty early,".
"What time is it?" Asked Sirius, sitting up and suddenly realising it was quite dark.
"About 5," said Remus. "Just gone though,".
"5?!" Exclaimed Sirius. Remus nodded slowly.
"Oi, you woke us up, I don't know what your so shocked about," he said, also sitting up.
"And how exactly did I do that?" Sirius said with a snort. Remus shrugged.
"You were twisting and turning an awful lot, and I know you hate it but I had to cuddle you, it's the only way I can ever get you to-".
"-cuddle!?".
"Calm down, Sirius," said Remus, taking ahold of his wrist. Sirius snatched his hand away.
"Why are you so touchy?!" Sirius cried. "I don't want your help, I don't want your hugs and I certainly don't want your cuddles!,". Remus drew back, his amber eyes flashing. If Sirius didn't know better, he'd say Remus was almost... hurt.
"Ok... right, yeah, you've made that really fucking clear, thanks Black,". Remus clambered out of the bed and left the room. Sirius sighed and lay back on the pillow. It wasn't his fault Remus couldn't understand personal space. It wasn't his fault Remus kept doing things without Sirius' permission. Sure they weren't particularly bad things but Sirius just didn't like his space being invaded so... disturbingly. Honestly, why would you cuddle someone unless you had some intent behind it. There was no reason for Sirius to be that close to anyone except Regulus. And it was weird enough that Sirius had never seen Remus touch anyone. For Merlin's sake, Remus kept to himself so much it wasn't surprising the boys still hardly called him by his first name.
So why did Remus seem so determined to become close to Sirius? He didn't know, but he was gonna find out all in the name of putting a stop to the situation.

"Where's Lupin?" Asked Lily, sitting beside Peter where Remus would've usually sat. Sirius didn't like being opposite her.
"Dunno," said Sirius.
"He never came down," said James, placing a bacon and egg sandwich on Lily's plate. Lily glanced at him.
"What's in this?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. James smirked.
"Bacon, and egg, fried beautifully with a little bit of grease from Snapes hair," he said. Sirius cackled with laughter as Lily rolled her eyes.
"How mature," she scoffed, taking a bite of the sandwich anyway.
"Aren't I just, anyway, about-".
