Sophie's pov
I walked the familiar route to my bedroom, the rose scented perfume mom sprayed is still there; along with my stuff. Nothing seems out of the ordinary, except for the fact that your parents aren't here anymore.
I flopped onto my bed and buried myself in the soft sheets of my bed, and snuggled close with Ella, mom's scent filling my nostrils.
Don't cry. I can almost hear mom say, be brave, my little soybean dad say beside me, both hugging me tight.
Someone knocked on my open door, "Can I come in?" a familiar voice asks.
I sniffed and wiped away my tears, trying to collect myself as I let the person in, "Come in!" I said. The voice doesn't sound like mine anymore, it doesn't sound happy, funny or extroverted anymore. It sounds broken, lost, and sad and unfamiliar to me.
A girl with blonde princess curls and grey eyes walked into view, holding a box of chocolate, a bag of chips and 2 tubs of ice cream. She set the stuff she brought on my desk which is now scattered with paper and textbooks.
"Hey Soph, I..... I heard what happened..." Annabeth said, sitting down beside where I buried myself.
There was a moment of silence then there was sounds of someone going out my room, I looked out of my blanket for a second and was scared by Annabeth.
"Gotcha!!" she shouts, making me giggle.
"C'mon, let's eat all the junk food I brought and binge watch Harry Potter." Annabeth said, knowing that Harry Potter is my favorite book adaptation and it always makes me smile.
"Pluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuus, I may or may not have asked Sally to make us some Butterbeer......" Annabeth said, not daring to look at me.
"Annabeth!! You don't have to do that!!" I complained, but am secretly glad of the Butterbeer we're able to drink later.
But being the awesome friend she is, we ended up having a Harry Potter themed sleepover in my room since the next day's Saturday. We dressed up as characters and reread the whole series together while watching the movie and drinking the delicious Butterbeer.
Annabeth must've told Sally and Percy to stay here overnight and not bother us since they only live next door.
