JUNGKOOK'S POV

Entering the room I was met with the sight of my wife's weak and fragile form. The IV drip was connected and the oxygen mask too. The beeping of the machine indicated her heart beat's rhythm. The white band aid around her head.

It was an unbearable view for me. Why was she here? Did I fail to protect her?

My thoughts were interrupted when I saw Y/n opening her eyes. I rushed towards her and gently held her hand.
Upon feeling my touch she looked at me.

"Jungkook" She whispered.

"Yes sweetheart. Are you okay? Do you feel any pain anywhere? " I bombarded her with questions.

" Water " She said in a weak voice.

" Oh here you go " I said while giving her the glass of water. Slowly she drank the water.

Putting the oxygen mask again she sat there and stared at me with blank eyes. I felt ashamed to meet her eyes.

Sighing I said,"Sweetheart I am sorry."

"And why are you sorry? " She asked with an unreadable expression.

" I couldn't protect you, I am sorry for that. " I apologized while my head was hanging down. I was sitting near the stool of her bed.

I felt her cupping my face and saw her eyes softening. With a gentle voice she, "It isn't your fault yeobo. "

The tender tone of her made me relived and listening her calling me 'yeobo' made my heart skip a beat.

I held her hands which were resting on my cheeks and leaned in her touch. Kissing both her palms I said, "Are you okay my sweetheart? "

" Yes I am. " She said and started caressing my cheeks.

" It's good to hear then. Can we talk what happened to you? How you got stuck in the cold storage room? " I asked turning serious while holding her hands in my rough ones drawing invisible circles on her back palm.

" What happened was......

FLASHBACK IN Y/N'S POV

It was time to go home. Jungkook will be late again. That man is not taking care of himself. Sighing at the thought I packed my things. Just then the door of my cabin got open.

A nurse barged in and said, " Doctor Jeon, we need you at the cold storage. "

It is strange. Asking her, " Why would I be needed there? "

" Actually we need your permission to take a medicine from there. As Dr. Min is not available so you are the one who will grant it. " The nurse said in a monotonous voice.

" Oh okay then. Let's get going. " I said and followed her. As we were walking I noticed that the nurse wasn't someone I'm familiar to.

" Excuse me are you by any chance new here? I haven't seen you around. " I asked suspiciously.

She got stiff at my question, " I joined last week and I work at Pediatrics department. " She answered but was sweating badly.

" Is that so? Then why would a pediatric nurse need a cardiologist? " I asked my doubts on her arising.
