JUNGKOOK'S POV

Entering the Jeon Mansion I was met with an eerie silence. There was no hustle bustle, it was strange. Too strange.

I strode towards my grandfather's room. Only to witness him on the bed eating grapes.

"Jungkook what a pleasant surprise! Come inside." He invited me inside. And I walked in while sitting on the bed, beside him . I took his hand in mine.

"Grandfather are you okay?" I asked in concern and he gave me a confused look.

"I'm fine my boy. But are you okay? The sudden arrival of you , I don't mind it but you are someone who won't come here unless it's necessary." He said and my eyes widened in surprise.

He is alright? Then why the sudden call from our family doctor.

"Nothing I was just missing you. Just checking on you, grandfather." I reassure him. Then I get up and call the doctor while my grandfather observes my tense form.

"Hello Dr. Cha. I'm Jungkook speaking, why did you lie about my grandfather's health?" My voice was rigid but an underlying anger was present and he must have also sensed it.

"Mr. Jeon, I was threatened that if I don't lie to you my family would be in danger. So to save them I did this. I beg in apology. Please apologize sir. Please." He pleaded guilty. But I wasn't satisfied.

"Who?" I asked.

"I don't know sir. They just blackmailed me through an unknown number." He confessed the truth.

"Send me the number. And from now on you won't be allowed here. Thank you for your service but we don't need you." Saying that I hung up the call and inhaled a harsh breath.

Turning around I was met with grandfather's suspicious eyes. There were thousands questions in his eyes but I couldn't answer them.

"Jeon Jungkook what's wrong? This seems critical. Tell me at this instinct." He ordered me as his face was unreadable.

"It's nothing to worry about." I lied and he caught me.

"I won't repeat myself Jungkook. Will you open up now or should I try my ways?" Now he was threatening me and I surrender to him.

"Dr. Cha lied to me. Saying that you are in a critical situation. So I left everything-" My eyes widen in realisation.

"Y/n" I whispered her name to myself. I call her as soon as possible but it went to voice mail.

"Pick up the phone!" I shout in frustration but my grandfather doesn't flinch at all. I called Jeong Mi-ssi and she picked up the phone.

"Jungkook-ssi? Is everything alright?" That was her first question and I desperately asked, "Is Y/n with you?"

"Y/n, she must be here only. But why?"

"She isn't answering my phone. Can you please check her out?"

"Sure I'll call you back." With that Jeong Mi-ssi hung up the call. And I started pacing around.

"Jungkook come here and take a seat." Grandpa said and I obeyed him. My legs were tapping the marble floor. I was impatient for the call.
